seems my memory cannot handle f1 or streetracer at all. :( set it to auto. runs fine now. btw i have a problem getting over 250mhz. seems i have the 1:1 250mhz bug i heard about. any way to get over 250mhz 1:1?? i plan to get me some eb stuff .i aim for 280mhz. or is there any other memory out there i should get? heard about the tccd samsung beeing really great (they use it in a-datas pc4800 i think)

You can put a 100 Ohms resistor BUT then you have to put a 1 - 2 KOhms Trimmer instead..... ;)

Hi, can somebody explain to me what the numbers 1,2 & 3 are on the VR's ???
Where i should connect what to use it as variable resistance ? because i'm getting different readings from the vr when i measure from 1&3 and from 2&3, which ones i should solder and measure from, when i want to use it as a variable resistance???

Seems that when i turn the pot clockwise, one reading is going up and from the two other legs of the VR, reading is going down...

You can conect the 1 and the 2 with ground or only the 2 and the 3 on the resistor.....

I would love to here a more detailed explanation about that!! I've been thinking about these for hours and couldn't achieve any conclusion.

A good example would be the IC7 Vdimm that you could do only by changing the R50 jumper for a variable pot, or you can use the 3 pins on the pot and connect also to the ground, it will made it work as a parallel resistence? 2 3 as one circuit and 1 2 as other inverted cirtcuit? Starting to get confused again :D

Yes it could BUT you HAVE to add small heatsinks on the small VCore's Mos-Fets , bigger heatsinks on the bigger VCore's Mos-Fets and add some electrolytic capacitors on the back side of the mobo(this is optional)...... ;)

Some IC7 series mobos has been burned down with Prescott CPUs coz of the small VCore Mos-Fets......Put on them heatsinks TOO.....IF - on the other hand - you are on Phase Change system , you'll encode no problem at all coz the temp of the Mos-fet are something like 12*C ..... ;)

Yes you could do that BUT with only one trimmer you'll encode more flactuations on the Vmem at higher voltage - above 3.2 to 3.3Volts - ..... ;)

i totally love the last sentence cuz im on phase change right now :D. it´s a fully modded ic7-max3 (all ur mods done) btw the temp ofe the mosfets is only 12c ishown in hardwaremontioring tools. but my finger says about 50 c :D.
only asking because i heard of someone who owned a 3.4 e0 es and a ic7 max3. and this chip wont run on the abit with the 17er bios
also i havent seen any oc resulsts of e0 presscotts on i875p yet. any good?

You have to try other bioses as well......Try to see the 22 bios on the IC7 mobo coresponds at which bios on Max3 one by the dates.....

How many voltage can i put on the northbridge for a long time life?

Max rating as for Intel's datasheets are the 1.75Vchip.............You can have it at 1.7Vchip with a fan blowing it's heatsink........... ;)

I have one more question. What can i do for higher fsb and faster system.
My system config is:
2,4c NW SL6WF @ 3508 mhz/ 292 fsb @ 1,725v without HS 42°C 2xprimestable
2 x 512 MB Corsair 3200 "LL" BH-5 @ 2-5-3-2 5:4 @ 234 with 2,9v AAADD
IC7 MAX3 VDD mod @1,6v, VDimm&VTT mod, VAGP 1,6v, AGP/PCI fixed 66/33
ATI 9800SE @ 9800pro 378/400 and WD360 Raptor, Toshiba DVD

I have two 2,4c SL6WF and one 2,4 SL6Z3 and all go on 290-293 fsb but not higher, what can i do, some ideas?

My good old IC7 was burned down when I was priming my D0 CPU at 4.2ghz

First of all you HAVE to lock the AGP/PCI at 75/37MHz.........In this way you will NOT be able to "see" any SATA HD on your system IF you have placed them on the Intel's SATA Southbridge.......You have to place them in another SATA controler......IF it's a IC7-G one or Max3 you can place them onto the Silicon Image SATA controler......It can handle and work up to 41MHz PCI - tested - ........Second you HAVE to uper your VAGP voltage at it's max.....Third try with 3:2 multi........The worst IC7 mobo did 295MHz fsb at 5:4 and the best did 315MHz at 5:4.........

I know...........I've lost AND repaired :D my other 24/7 Air cooled rig for SETI with a Prescott 3GHz at 3500MHz......Two tiny Mos-Fets went down......Of caurce I have about 3 burned down IC7's and I replaced the Mos-Fets of it and now I'm OK......A Max3 one have ALSO gone down with a Prescott 3.2GHz..........Heatsinks and air on the tiny VCore Mos-Fets...... ;)
