They are very rare to be honest :)
No, you didn't get swindled.
The blue PCB is Elpida's standard PCB for their BBSE sticks. Your kit is probably a rather early Trident kit, right? I have seen at least three kits with blue PCB so far, but they're pretty rare. Can you post a pic of your kit?
Here's a pic of some blue Elpida sticks ( 3 sticks in the middle ):

1800C9 is a very low bin, don't expect these to be good ... they might even be T-series PSC
Got this psc black pcb with GA marking, probably the last batch of Trident 2000C9 before early RipjawsX 2133 C9 /Sandy released. Eat 1.92V+ for lunch:D

you have to be lucky with all 2000 Tridents ,i pretty much give up on them :( all tho i never had 9-9-9-24 1.6V PCS set ;) and looking at Hiwa and Dumo results that might be the bin to get
I only have a few decent ones....from a bunch of dud:D
Especially, trident 2000C9 bbse, no such luck
Trident 2000 c9 BBSE has been nothing but fail for me as well.
Will be testing some Trident 2133 c9 BBSE by the end of the week, hopefully they are not rejects.
