Sorry, I should have been more clear. I believe I read that the uncore and QPI multipliers are locked on Asus boards with the Xeons.

If anyone is interested... Central Computers here in the Bay Area has D0's in stock.
I was in their Santa Clara branch yesterday and they had a bunch in stock for $299.99
Also they have an online store which you can order from: http://www.centralcomputers.com/
dude that's way too much vcore!! I'm running on air and only needed 1.318vcore 1.35vtt for 4.20Ghz HT enable and passed 50 LinX and 12hr Prime and rock stable playing 5hr of COD WAW. Try to reseat your block and lower your vcore...
The weather has not been too kind lately and hit 90'F in the past few days, right now i'm lowering the OC down to 4.0Ghz HT enable @1.25vcore and 1.25vtt with 12GB of ram, underload in LinX is in the 82~83'C. I'll have to go water soon...
1.37v? I think you're overreacting. That's the amount that is needed for stability, and it's well within reason. I reseated my block, but temps didn't drop at all. I get a stop code 101 after only 10 seconds of linpak with it turned down to 1.34. I've got a better block on the way, but I think you just have a better chip than I do. My load temps under LinX don't even get as high as yours. The highest I see is 80C, which is on core 1. The max temps for the cores are 80/77/78/76 with a room temp of 19C and YL Meds on my rad.

Edit: I also have my uncore at 3.6Ghz@1.31v. Not sure what yours is at, but it could potentially be adding a bit of extra heat/exacerbation to the situation. I can bench with it (uncore) at 4.05Ghz@1.36v, but it only passes 2 iterations of LinX before throwing a stop code 124 BSOD and doesn't seem to improve past 1.36v.
My room temperature is 27~28'C...pretty hot in here so my idle temp is around 44/43/42/40 at the moment, I really need to get rid of the air cooler and put this rig on water asap. LOL
I'm just kinda surprised that your D0 chip needed so much vcore to keep stable at 4.2Ghz is all, since yours is a D0 maybe unload it on ebay as soon as you possibly can and I'm sure D0 chip will sell like hotcake regardless how it clock. Not sure if your motherboard has anything to do with it but on a side note I just bought a second P6T Deluxe V2 because the original mobo will not POST with 12GB of ram and it can't OC worth a damn, bclk maxed out at 209. I bought another P6T Deluxe V2 from local store and the new board booted right into the OS with 12GB and it can do 220 bclk with ease.
BTW, which new block did you get? I'm looking into either HK 3.0 or the GTZ...I think I'll go with the latter since it's readily available and cheaper, from the number I have seen the GTZ seems to work better with higher flow pump like the MCP655.
My replacement motherboard is much more overclockable and stable than the previous one, but suppressing the heat is still a major issue here so for now this is what my D0 can do on sucky air cooler. Keep in mind that I'm also running on 12GB of ram (OCZ Platinum 2GB x6) so they put quite a bit of strain on the mem controller as well, had to lower the memclock, these sticks can't do much higher than 1600 without putting the vdimm and vtt to hell..

Obviously....this is not LinX or Prime stable, I can only bench at these clock speed, the maximum core temperature you see from the Real Temp 3.20 is the reading from running superpi, probably will be in the upper 90s under Prime. :D
ben805,
You refer to your 'original mobo'...is it another Pt6 deluxe, or something else?
yes it was a P6T Deluxe V2 as well, had two defective memory slots and can't do more than 209 bclk...it sucked.
I'm asking cause I may need another mobo. How is the P6T deluxe V2 relative to other mobo in terms of OCing, assuming you've tested other mobos? Thanks.
Oh yeah, does it support S3 sleep mode up to at least 192 bclk?
I haven't play with other brand mobo yet so I can't speak for those. But the P6T Deluxe V2 is very solid and easy to OC assuming you didn't get one DOA or came defective like mine did from newegg. S3 sleep mode work just fine on mine when I was testing it earlier at 19x210bclk after i crossflashed the bios to V1 version (1403), this V1 bios also unlock the 21x multiplier so I don't have to use turbo/speedstep crap, the original V2 BIOS 302 (the lastest for the V2 board) still has problem waking up sometime, other time it wakes up just fine. As far as OC'ing from what I have seen a proper functioning P6T Deluxe V2 should hit 220~222 easily so I'd say go for it.
BTW, what mobo are you running now and what's wrong with it?
to crossflash to V1 bios, you'll need the AFU236U flasher, you can find the link in the official A6T Deluxe thread. if you downloaded the 2.36 version (which I was using also). You just need to boot to a command prompt with a bootable CD or floppy or USB thumbdrive or whatever you can get your hands on, once you're in command prompt then you go to the directory where you store the flasher and rom file, and run the command
AFU236U /ifilename.rom /pbnc /n
leave the letter i infront of the filename, and filename=bios file name, i renamed the rom file to 1403.rom because the original one was way too long, so this is the command i used:
AFU236U /i1403.rom /pbnc /n3
When you get the board try the original V2 bios first and see how it work out for you. Keep in mind that the 21x multi unlock from the V1 bios work sorta like the V2's speedstep/turbo mode, it still throttle back down to 20.5x~20x during Linx when my underload temperature get close to 80'C, it didn't do it in Prime or any other stress tests...only in Linx. I flashed my bios back to V2's 302 last night and set it OC to 21x191 to try the S3 again, it has been asleep since this morning when I left for work at 5:30am, I'll see if it wake up when I get home later around 7pm or so.
Thanks for valuable info. :)
no problem waking up the pc after 13hrs with the 302 bios at 21x191 on my new mobo :D
Yep, I see the same thing on the BR. Before I RMAed my classified(faulty RAM slots me thinks as it kept eating my RAM), I could do 200x21 @ 1.325 on the classified(with VDroop enabled), but on the BR i have to pump in around +130 mv, which gives me around 1.36 in windows under load.
I haven't recieved my W3520 from Tankguys yet(Expecting it by Wednesday or Thursday) and my Classified is the one that has the NF200(Can't remember which one is which) and the previous one ate both my expensive kits. One stick of the Hyperx died and one stick of the GT is giving ton of Memtest 2.11 errors @default(DDR3-1066).It could be due to faulty RAM slot or it could be plain coincidence that I got two bad RAM kits. So I am currently running the GTs in dual channel mode until I get the RMAed HyperX back and then I would have to RMA my GTs.
One of my local stores have them. Picking one up now. $315.00. He has 5 in stock. He will cherry pick from his warehouse more to make available here.
Maybe I should start a business selling basically the hottest batches/steppings so you guys can flock to buy from me! I think it's a good idea...don't you?
