i think so too lightman! they got valid @ 6.66 w/ ln2.... just a few more mhz! cant wait to hear about todays results!
Can't wait to see your results, although thousands and thousands of miles away we will be having a little fun of our own at the very same time ;)
nice thread and this cpu seems to have got performance and scale good under cool ... but you 're alone to bench it :(
Good Luck guys!!!
Good to see Hipro posting after a long time :D
I think a lot of people here are under-estimating the effect Macci has had on this run :D
This guy has been benching ATI since when the High end ATIvsNvidia playing field was pretty much him vs Oppainter and the world over would come to XS to watch their matches. I love how we're finally starting to return to the old days of competition between Intel and AMD for once where they each go back and forth. Intel having all the records isn't fun at all.
I know that Kingpin is officially Intel/Nvidia, but I don't know if that's the case with Hipro and Pedro, but I would love to see them both try out the new Phenoms.
Good job to Sampsa, SF3D AND Macci

Hi all!
This Saturday was not our day. Our VGA's were finally cooled with LN2 and they run whole day without any issues. We could run them up to 950MHz.
But there is always a "but" :(
We couldn't get our subsystem stable for some reason.. we managed to run system at 6.187GHz in the end, but VGA clocks were low and the run wasn't very good.
Gear we used were the same as before.
Clocks were 6187MHz on the cpu. 4500MHz on NB and 900 7-7-7-20-30-1T
Here is the score from today:

This was not the end.. that is for sure! There is still so much power left in the system. And we must try LHe too.
sweet numbers guys.. 36k is sooooo close :toast:
Here are some pics of today's live-session Assembly Winter 2009 from Muropaketti.com:

guys these scores you guys have put out are remarkable, great job
So close to 36K! :D Good job!
I see a storm on the horizon "Offcourse i am talking about the Overclocking Events on CeBIT 2009 with i7"
But for a ship as sturdy as the PhII this maybe a fight fit for titans.
SF3D even tough i don't have much experience with oil cooling we did use a car oil pump to cool a cpu use a modded water cooler kit and submerged the whole thing in non conductive oil. We did run in to a short circuit prob. after a few mins but that was because of the ram and non-pure oil. But this did increase the overall stability of the m/b fsb and i would imagine it may work in a similar way for u off course in ur case it would be pots that are partially inside the oil and mouths outside for Ln2/etc.
PM me if you want further detail and if possible i will ask around if anyone had taken pics!!
Nice results, I guess it's a lot harder to bench in front of a huge crowd, conditions will not be that good.
I wish you luck for the next time you're benching in your lab, I'm looking foward to seeing 36k from you soon!
any results from your 4870x2's on LN2?
You did grate job:yepp:
Congrats with new WR:clap:
