Can u say me what year/week were your sticks manufactured.
Mine are week 21, 2007.
I will get to it in the next few days, my Teams are in at the moment and I have a massive amount of work to get through before I have time to swap them.
Hye, I'm french and just commin' up on XS, so don't care too much about my english...thx
I'm a 2x1gb PC8500 Crucial BallistiX Tracer kit owner (D9GMH), so I bought them in april...
...and tested on a P5N32-E sli (680i) & P5K-E wi/fi AP (P35) and in a near future on a Maximus 2 Formula (P45)
Here is what I get :
On 680i :
Cas3 @433,4 2,53v 3/3/3/8/25 2T
Cas4 @450 2,11v 4/4/4/12/26 1T :shakes:
Cas5 @640 2,56v 5/5/5/15/30 2T :shakes:
On P35 :
Cas3 @433 2,5v 3/3/3/8 2T
Cas4 @490 2,4v 4/4/4/12 2T
Cas5 @634,6 2,4v 5/5/5/15 2T :shakes:
I think there are issues with the MCP55, hope it'll drop up to 700 on P45
I had another kit of D9GMH but not such amount in Cas 5 as the Ballistix,
especially cause of voltage which can't go ahead 2,2v...(2,3v for the factory specs ;))
2x1gb PC8500 SLI OCZ N1066SR1G :
On 680i :
Cas4 @475 2,21v 4/4/4/12/15 1T
Cas5 @600 2,21v 5/5/5/15/26 2T
...worth on P35 so don't care, I sold them quickly :D
I stay tuned...Bye!
I got my new Corsair Dominator PC2-9136's (1142MHz 5-5-5-15 W/ 2.1v).
I'm going to do some overclocking soon and I was wondering how well they normally do?
Dominators from what I've seen tend to max around ~1250MHz.
I am SOOOOOOOOO close to getting DDR2-1200 CAS4 with my Dominator 10000 kit on the Maximus II Formula. CPU is E8400@4GHz (500x8) and I'm using the 333/800 strap. I've been looping test #5 in memtest and 2.42V seems to be the sweet spot, as if I lower or raise VDIMM even a little I get more errors. The thing that is really killing me is that it will pass loop 1 but get 2-4 errors on loop 2, maybe pass another loop with out any errors, then get 8 or so on the next pass. VMCH is about 1.31V, raising it to 1.35V has the opposite effect and increases errors as well. Transaction Booster is set to auto, Static Read disabled, I'm not sure what else I need to look at tweaking. DRAM CLK skew perhaps, and if so what kind of offset should I be using, delay or advance?
I only needed to lower VDIMM to 2.40V
Ehhhh its alright, try tightening your PL a notch or two ;)
Shiranui Gen-An
Make more hertz with CAS5. CAS4 is useless with Intel chipsets.
Nice work Shiranui, 600 CL 4 stable is awesome. Give CL 5 a go with 2.40v, maybe 700 would be benchable.
I doubt I can get much higher than their rated CAS5 speed of 625MHz, but I'll see. What strap/divider should I use?
I like the 266 strap and 2:3 divider, but 4:5 and 5:6 work fine too, just give a few combinations a try. Most GMH/GKX should hit 650+ on 2.3v, all my kits do 650 on 2.2v (real) so you might get higher than you expect. I have not seen many people get corsair very high for some reason though.
This is a really nice kit, it can do 600 with only 2.05V so maybe it can do 650+. I wonder if they aren't GKX since it seems they don't like too much voltage. What really surprises me is that my Geil 1160 CAS4 D9GMH kit couldn't do 1200 CAS4.
I would of considered RMAing that Geil kit.. probably right on the edge teitering.
It's a replacement kit, I did a Geil RMA already  This one can do it's specified settings so I wouldn't say it's defective, just can't push it 20MHz more at CAS4
Thats my point :p: The fact you can't even get an extra measly 20MHz with stock timings and voltage the sticks are clearly right on the edge. I like Geil stuff, but they haven't been the best for some time, which makes me sad :( Geil used to be gods.
I just tested my new Dominator PC2-9136 and they don't have D9's :(
It wouldn't even post at 1200MHz @ 5-5-5-15 w/ 2.36v :shakes:
My old D9 Dominator's did 1200MHz easy with 2.3v :) I wish they didn't die :(
Look this.
Interesting and usefull.
That only lists the rev 1.1's which were GMH. With corsair ram, it's better to go to corsairs ramlist website, 'asktheramguy'.
Bad news about the sticks, they'll be good long lasting 24/7 sticks though.
Yeah they are fine for 24/7 :)
Also the max oc i got my 555MHz 4-4-4-12 w/ 2.36v
Ouch. Can't help but feel you got a we bit cheated with your replacement sticks :( have you tried adjusting TRC and TRFC aliong with the subtimings? Manufacturers tend to set those very aggressive.
