There's no reliable source to confirm EO E8400/E8500 release date in the US or Hong Kong. M-XXXX and FireLight have these E0, but they're from eastern Europe.
eva2000 you cpu is very similar to mine.
Im able to get prime stable @ 4.4Ghz with 1.312v but for IntelBurn (10 runs) it failed, just a little more and with 1.320v its 100% stable. :)
To get the extra 100mhz we have to jump a little bit the voltage.
From what ive seen a lot E8600 are like ours, little voltage to 4.4Ghz and a big jump just for 4.5Ghz.
Same here - 4.4 stable at 1.25 - need 1.31 minimum for 4.5
I have the same thing also. Prime stable till 4450 and then it gets to be a lot of work.
RealTemp 2.75 (beta) already out with TJMax corrected from Intel's information ;)
Well it seems that factor its from the chips, because both of you are using P45 and Im using X38...so no motherboard factor...
My temps are also a bit nuts. I am getting to about 60c load at 4400 under water. I am unsure if the temps are real or a sensor issue. Anyway, I will be adding T.E.C next week and if that doesn't control the temp monster . . . .
mine seems to show 45c idle in BIOS with TRUE and push/pull s-flex g.
But the heatsink is barely warm to the touch. Ambient is also quite high right now.
I'll post more once i finish the build :)
there already out

batch #: Q822A
a guy on OCN has one
we know they're already out in the wild, but no retailers have them in stock or can confirm that we can get an E0 8400/E8500 yet.
Anyone buy an e8600 from newegg, mwave, or zipzoomfly lately?
Just wondering what batch numbers you were getting - whether q820's or q822's.
Thanks.
That's funny. I work and commute to and from Asia and SoCal. I happened to inquire about E0 8400/8500 from Fry's. Fry's have CO 8500 but are not aware of the E0. Perhaps you can upload a real photo of your batch and cpu-z validation for us to confirm you have an E0 8500 (which I seriously doubt). Newegg, Zip Zoom Fly, Mwave, as of this post, do not have E0 8400/8500 in stock, so I seriously doubt Fry has it.
This tread is about E8600, so any discussion on status of E0 8400/8500 should ends here. There's an e8400/8500 current thread for that topic. We should avoid hijacking this thread.
Let Anzial prove his/her point pls..
Chuxle you are contradicting urself, lol, FIrst you ask for a confirmation, then you are demanding to stop hijacking the thread :D Decide already what you want :D Anyways, here's a pic, can't do the cpuz since I didn't install it yet.

Which Fry's? Fountain Valley? Should I ask for the "white small box" processor?
I've been only to Manhattan Beach, can't imagine why Fountain Valley won't have these, too. You have to ask for the retail e8500, oems most definitely will be C0s, and check the box at the register. I suggest getting the combo (with ecs mobo, valid until tuesday), it's cheaper than cpu alone (about $10 difference) and you might just get lucky, get the E0 and sell mobo for cash to someone else ;) Box ain't white, btw... it's regular blue&white but it's definitely smaller package than for the previous stepping wolfdales.... I think I'll stop hijacking this thread now, calm down Chuxle :D
