I think so at least from the few mounts I tried on a lapped E6600 The thicker EK o-ring and more bow just introduced more mount variability and the best mounts wern't really any better than the best stock V2 mounts.

I would think having a quad core would make that even more apparent, but I'll wait to see what other people find out before I'm 100% sure.

It also probably depends a little on the TIM used. I've been testing with the www.tim-consultants.com T-C Grease 0098, it performed much better (almost 3C) better than artic ceramique did in my quick 3 mount test. Bowing should have less benefit on better TIM pastes and may also change with how thick a paste is.

Hey guys, Thinking about buying Fuzion V2 to replace my old TDX.

Moving from an opterion 165 to a Q9450, so I really should get a new block instead of a $20 brass top right?

Also, I have not lapped the CPU so I should put in a larger O-ring to bow the block?

Order would be:
1 Fuzion V2
1 Quadcore Nozzel
1 Pro Mounting Kit

or should I skip the mounting dit/ nozzel? I will have 1 or 2 GPU's and MB in the same loop so I don't want to restrict flow too much?

I assuming you are cooling an Intell 775 socket if yes you don't need a pro mounting kit since the V2 comes with an attached Pro mounting system

Yep, Q9450 is the plan.

Someone told me to be sure to buy the pro mounting kit for the V2, It did come up as an option at the store when purchasing this block. I guess I was mis informed.

Should I get the quad nozzel or is there too much stuff in my loop for the added restriction? Or should I get it and possibly just port out the holes a little larger?

Sure you should try it...don't think it is as restrictive as you think since the block flows so well you can afford to have the nozzle inside

Probably 2 GPU coolers Maze4 and Maze5, maze4 NB block (or might upgrade it to something else I guess im stuck with DD for these) and D5 pump.

We'll the D5 is one of the most powerful pumps and the Danger Den Maze family of blocks (although not the best) but they are very unrestrictive so I think you should be ok...I would buy the nozzle and then try both and report back what you found since I am sure many will have the same question...but for the small amount of money you know you won't be able to sleep unless you have it!!!

Yea I'm piecing together a new system, so it will be a while. Memory is on backorder. Plus I need to sell my old stuff to help my debt from the new! I think I'm going to give it a shot, I should still hopefully be able to get something for my old TDX with brass top and nozzel kit.

how stock fuzion v1 with no any mods will cool core7 comparing with v2?

LOL. i've just done the same thing... 11 pages!!!

From what I remember the v2 performed slightly better than v1.
I think it will be hard finding testing on i7 with v1 versus v2, since v1 got EOL a while before i7's came out.

You are right it is a pain you need to have the mobo free in hand in order to make sure it installed properly. I just finish installing mine yesterday.
