Use the 11/22/07 its the most stable out of the lot!
Well it happened! I've pull out this mobo from the case :(
In place of here I've put ASUS M3A32-MVP! It's faster mobo, but it's giving me headache with unganged mode (independent 64bit bus) It simply doesn't work with DDR2-1066 :(
Hopefully it'll not let me down in overclocking…
I think right now you are going to find that all of the makers with the spider platform board are going to give you a headache! There is just not any Bios support there for Phenom from any brand from what I see ATM:(
To anybody who owns the board, do you think the stock backplate is sturdy enough for a waterblock hard mount?

So, I have this waterblock installed on this board and I didn't use a backplate. According to the instructions, you don't need one for it. I attached a picture I took of them for reference.

As you can see, doesn't mention a backplate here. Further down the this same installation page it says to install this block on socket am2 boards by the 4-holes through the board method (which is the one shown in the picture). So, actually you need to take off the backplate that comes with the board and slap this one on there in the screw holes that were being taken up by that.
I would personally use a backplate guys as that equals less flexing of the board which = Better for the Board:)
My old nF4 Ultra-D didnt have a back plate (or did it:confused: ). Anyway, I had the Coolermaster Hyper6 on it and you can see a clear little bend on it lol. My current board has the back plate and it makes a difference. But well, if the little bend would kill something? I wouldnt be too worried after all tbh. I mean, big GPU's bend a little under the heatsink's weight as well after all.
So how is the new BIOS working out? Better RAM OC's, any fixes apart from that?
So, I'm just looking at the backplate that was on the board....could you just use the one that was on it, or do you have to buy another one? I know they do sell backplates you can use for this application, but was just curious.
my rig has been fine using my NON existent backplate for 2yrs+ so far. its up to ya
many improvements in this official 1/3/08... my new ram should arrive tomorrow so im not busting my butt on my current ram just to start over again... ill post my results then
Are any of you guys experiencing High Network Latency on this new Bios?
I have also experienced hard Game lock ups with the Bios in addition to a few C1 Errors and the ever present NIC Latency thing that was present in the Beta release >>>>>>>(sigh) gone back to 11/22/07 as I see nothing but problems present on my end with dual core and my set up!
Perhaps there is Merit and Worth for Phenom users but for dual core my opinion is the same 11/22/07 is the best to date!
I'll give the offical 1/3/08 a try later today or early tomorrow, but as long as it adds better ram timings (can I have my 1t Command Rates now please?) and some stability, so I can keep my newfound better NB, and HHT clocks, and not the other nasties in the beta BIOS, then all the better this BIOS would be than the 1/3/08 beta.

I try a lot of setting and voltage for 390-400*8 , it was always a freeze during boot.

Nice:clap: Yes to bad DFI cannot write another Bios to date equivalent to the 11/22/07 Official with Added Phenom support and the USB Issues cleared up and other small little annoyances because they have the Right Mix working with the 11/22/07 and the rest suck!
What sort of 'drawback' was there again from running x.5 multipliers? At least there was a drawback back in the 939 days.
I know on my board using a 13 multiplier the memory doesn't run at 800 like it suppose to.
