Would it be safe to conclude, for now, that the temp improvements are within margins or error? I dunno if 1 or 2 degrees difference is that big of a deal. Don't get me wrong, I have a set of nozzles, just wanted to see if it will be worth the trouble to take the Fuzion apart and install it.
Well altogether I did 10 mounts the other night, and the sealed/nozzled mounts are pretty consistently lower than the ones I did beforehand.
I did discover one interesting thing though... Bringing ceramique down to 0C then back up to ambient improves its performance by about 2-3C very quickly...
I have to be patient and wait for my AS Ceramique to cure, but so far I am seeing some improvement, and it is inside of 2 degrees, but I cannot say that its limited to a margin of error because the AS has to fully cure before any conclusions can be drawn. Its only been 1-1/2 days since I installed.
Linus,
Thanks for the results.
To all who are waiting for their TIMs to cure, how about using Arctic Cooling MX-2? IIRC, it does not need time to cure.
got mine, too. I've been using an O-ring to fill the gap, so we'll se what improvements the nozzle alone brings. However, I do remember seeing a pretty comprehensive review of nozzle performance. It wa in XtremeSystems I believe. Bowed, inbowed, nozzle, no nozzle, gtx, gt, etc. etc... I'm pretty sure that review is here somewhere....
Also, got my Petra's pen and decal!!!! :woot: Thanks guys.
Well, its been two days, and its still under 2 C. Of course, in the NY area, its a wet, humid and unseasonably stuffy night.
Anyone else has quad nozzle findings to report, no matter how preliminary ?
Just initial impression,
I added the q6600 nozzle and the gasket supplied between the middle and upper plates.
I also added a NB swifty water block and a crappy MIPS Mosfet block to my loop on my IP-35.
But even with the increased restriction from added blocks (which by the way are coming out - due to very bad performance from the MIPS mosfet block) - I am still getting 2 degrees lower on my CPU under load. (I would also like to mention that the ambient temp have increased this week in my country - only to strengthen the validity of result.)
This is by no means a through test...just my individual findings.
This result was consistent on 3 different mountings.
I didn't install it, but the 3.5 nozzle for the dual cores looks awfly narrow. I don't doubt the results, but it's just hard for me to imagine that it doesn't cause serious restriction. I guess spray plpacement and turbulance has a greater effect than I thought.
I'll post my results this weekend. Sorry I don't have a quad to test with.
Has anyone tried putting a non quad nozzle on a quad?

Well you are all going to be jealous, but when I ordered my D-tek Fusion, 5 Scythe fans, and 10' 1/2" Tygon hose from Petra, I received a blue pen, and a hand made PTS Monster!!
There was a note that he was guarding my fans during shipping, and that he probably would be hungry by the time he made it to my house... ;)
Thanx Alex!
I have a socket 939 3800x2 and I am busy with assembling watercooling, and I have a D-tek Fuzion. Will it work for that cpu too?
Ask, and you shall receive!! ;)
I'm sure these are hard to come by too!!!

My FuZion and nozzels showed up today. So far I am seeing about a 2 C lower on idle and load. I am like some of the others , need to let the AS5 cure.
And as for PTS. They are the best. Their packing is top notch. Great service all the way around.
Haha that monster is a rort, someone has too much time on their hands! :P
Man...I've recieved several pens and notes, but that monster is cool!
Well, I don't know if it was the PTS Monster, or just the killer selection of products, but I just placed another order with Petra's.....
I am now an official repeat customer. ;)
I see that Petra is out of the nozzles again. Any idea when the next boat arrives?
say in stock for me.
Well, I don't see any more improvements over here. Maybe I need to remount once more? So far, my wife's cpu has gained 2 C and I think its plenty good... great.. Quad nozzle on a QX6700 at stock speed and stock voltage. System temp is still a tad high, but that's because its a "silent" type of computer and there's a general lack of good airflow.
