Yeah well, only that didn't work for me ;)
Installed the new 6 stable rls over the old 5.10.45 and all was gone, WUs, settings, account info, everything. Oh well...
Didn't see any benefit over 5.10.45 by the way, so I wouldn't really bother updating machines if they are producing well as it is.

yeah, everything was gone like what jcool said... i guess i'll stick with the 5.10.45 for my other machines for now. good thing i only updated 1 machine, and didn't lose too much computing time.

Just an FYI to everyone. Beta and alpha builds have those names for a reason. The 6.3.X clients are technically alpha releases, though I've referred to them as betas. I've had no issues with any of the 6.2.X clients. Even though 6.2.18 is listed as a recommended version, my understanding is that it has not been fully tested.
There is no one client that works best, point-wise, for all machines and operating systems. You have to try each one to see. If you are not adventurous, then stick with the older clients.
Personally, I use different clients for different machines. The most important thing is stability. A client that continually hangs on you is not worth having, no matter how many more points it generates.
If you're looking for a way to boost your daily output without increasing your overclock, switch to a 64-bit operating system. This has been proven to increase daily point production, especially for Windows users.
6.2.19 is available for Windows 32-bit and 64-bit users. These are listed as recommended versions.

6.2.19 fixed the odd Rice WU lock-up problem I was having on a couple machines.

So, what we see is yet another increase in Integer performance, while FPU stays the same. Still nice boost, let's see how that translates to PPD :up:

You're don't have a proxy server set in your config
It found the CUDA capacity of your video adaptor
It nominated it as a coprocessor, named it a GeForce 8800 GT and says there's only one of them
It registered that you updated from 6.2.19 to 6.3.12
Did I miss anything?

A new user on WCG has some problems getting a BOINC version running on his 64-bit installation. Does someone has experience with that.
