tried again today and this time worked great....:D
went up to 3,73v on vdimm (with no stick on....) didn't try more...anyway now at 3,15v before i get new chip hopefully this week....:banana:

So you are saying that just grounding pin 6 will give 3.15v all the time or when set to 2.85 in BIOS? I would just as soon have a bit of adjustment. Also, where in the hell do you find a VR that goes from 50k to 0 ohm? I have never seen one.

right now max voltage i can get is 3,46v (3,3v modded psu at 3,63v right now) i went up 3,3v on psu 3,90 and max vdimm at that time was 3,73v....:toast:
however now it doesn't matter what i put in bios....2,55 to 2,85 now it always stays at 3,15....only way for me to change vdimm now is adjusting vr....maybe i did something wrong....anyway i don't mind grabbing the multimeter and adjusting vr each time i need to change it...as long as it goes that looooong way up i'm very happy.....:banana: :banana: :banana: :banana:

erm...guys....how high have u tried setting your vdimm?? with rams on of course.... wud is the advisible voltage to use for 24/7?

I had my bh-5 at about 3.33v for the last few months, and many people have had their's higher. With bh-5, it seems like you can just use however much voltage you need for the most part. Just as long as you keep your ram fairly cool.
but if the ram could take it...would the mobo take it?
yeah...people are giving their ram over 4v, and the mobo doesn't seem to mind.

after mod
i tried 3.2vdimm at 275fsb 7-4-4-2.5....priming for few minutes and it failed?...even 3.3vdimm doesnt help....

Increasing voltage doesn't garuntee you can tighten the timings. With that pc4x00 stuff you might not be able to tighten them any more than that with any voltage at any speed if the chips are bad. You should pick up some bh-5 and run 5:4 2-2-2-5 :DQuote:

but 7-4-4-2.5 is not a good timing at all...

good timings are relative to your ram. Most pc4x00 can't get close to good timings at any voltage, and that seems to be the case with your ram.
Can you get better timings with that voltage at ddr400? If so maybe you can add some more voltage to tighten the timings slightly.
Try the Geil Ultra Platinum pc4000 if you want high fsb 1:1. I got mine stable at 276MHz 7-4-4-2.5 with only 3.07v. I am sure it would go higher with more voltage. I can't remember who it was, but they got theirs to 300MHz (DDR600) 8-4-4-2.5 with 3.3v. Their Sandra buffered was like 71xx/71xx.
w/ my CH5 when i was going from 2-2-2-6 to 2-2-2-5, my programs was crashing. So ive test 2-2-2-8 against 2-2-2-6 and theyres no difference. So just put 2.5-4-4-8.
BTW: CAS dont make difference too;). Ive tested myself and many people too. So just put put 3-4-4-8, and pump the voltage to 3.3V and the RAMs to 300!
Bulkhy: Some people are running over 3.5V over a year w/ no problems. The DDR RAMs look like they cant die....LOL
You can't say the timings don't help in everything. When going for 3D Marks, I got an easy 500 points going from 265 1:1 7-4-4-2.5 to 265 5:4 5-2-2-2 as well as dropping another second of my SuperPi 1M run. There is a difference, depending on what you do. PCMark2002 liked 1:1 better, even with the loser timings.
BTW, no one answered if just grounding pin 6 would give a constant -.15v under the 3.3v rail, or only if set to 2.85v in BIOS.
Also, 50k pots I have used never go below 1k.
After grounding LM358 pin six, bios voltageoptions doesnt matter anymore, so memoryvoltage is allways -0.15V from 3.3V rail.Quote:

i got like 270fsb 5-4-4-2.5 stable...but sandra score are like 62**?? ... pat enabled....

WOWEEEE, i never said a such thing. Ive said the CAS and the last one(i dont remember how its called) dont make any difference. RAS and RAS to CAS makes the difference.Quote:

If you do 3-2-2-8 and 2-2-2-5, you will see no difference(or a very minimal 10 points in 2k1). But if you make 2-4-4-5 and 2-2-2-5, theyre you will see a big difference.
Sorry fellas if this has been posted before earlier in this thread, I may probably have missed it, but I was doing the volt mod today basing off the pics here on my P4P800 Rev2.0 board and I just could not get it to work.
Finally played around with the pins and realised that the LM358 chip is inverted in comparison to the P4C800 boards.
So here are some pics for those people who have been having issues getting this mod to work on the P4P800 Rev2.0 boards.

how stable is your vdim when you just ground pin6?
Appeared to read 3.15V stable @ 240MHz 2-2-2-5.
I need for voltage though. Anyway to get more ? I really want 250 & tight.
Oh and its been pointed out to me that its alreayd been mentioned elsewhere that the LM358 chip is inverted on the P4P800. Well, at least there are some pics now. :)
