Can someone post some detailed settings for the P5N-E SLI?
I just got one and my computer reboots during prime 95 after a few mins. I had the voltage up to 14.v and the cpu at 2800mhz. For some reason prime fails while the cpu is at the default settings as well.
Update your sig, what cpu, what memory?

Don't think it works the same way. The voltages provided are plenty enough for 500 FSB though. Probs higher with upgraded chipset cooling.Quote:

I have something to say about the P5N-E SLI...
The first day i got it together with E4300 and a 2GB kit of Corsair XMS2 6400C4, it ran flawlessly in unlinked mode. I got the CPU upto 3.34GHz for benching with 9 multi, RAM did 908MHz effective with 4-4-4-12 2T timings and 2.157V in BIOS.
Then the next day a friend came over with the same setup, cause he couldn't boot up at the same settings, so we tried my PSU in his rig... a no go. Next was we tried his RAM in my rig, was performing the same as my kit. Then his CPU into my mobo, all ok and we got to the conclusion, something's wrong with his mobo (same bios, same settings, just didn't boot at 3ghz).
Then as I inserted all my stuff back into my board, i was unable to run unlinked mode at all!!!! not even a single MHz OC would POST. I needed a day with trial&error to find out, it was unlinked mode causing the troubles: remember, it ran flawlessly in unlinked (1500:900) a day before!!! Now I can only run linked, 1333*9, 888MHz RAM, same timings, same voltage...
It didn't help to flash the BIOS, reseat the RAM, CPU, gfx card, reset CMOS, make a long CMOS clear, playing with voltages, maxing them out, nada... I think, the mobo has some issues with current BIOS, corrupting in some way. I'm now waiting for ASUS to release a new version or the mobo will be for sale :'(

and as for the guy who asked about ambient temps, i dont care about ambient, i'm on water lol. but my room is typical average room temp. like 65-68 F.
Lestat, you might wanna reconsider what you thought about ambient temp.
Ambient temp DOES make a big different to your CPU temp, dude.
Hey .. you can test it by raising your room temp to 74-75*F ... then see the result .. :p

i have (or maybe had) freezing and stability issues too. After calling the support i received a new 0401 bios version. After flashing it i was facing the same problems as you guys. I removed the bios battery and cleared the bios via the clrtc jumper for about an hour. But that did not help.
So i called the support again and he told me to remove all usb devices and to use only 1 memory module in the a2 bank. After that the pc bootet up and reported a cmos checksum error. To make the situation even worse the new bios automatically adjusted my rams to 1T which caused permanent freezes in the bios, but i was able to correct this.
Now everything seems to run fine with 0401 bios. I did not notice any changes except for that sli memory option and some new post up messages...
I hope this bios fixes my random bluescreens and mouse problems under windows
0401 ehh, does it still ahve the "ranomness" bug, rockstable @ whatever one bootup and reboots before the OS is loaded the next?
you guys should just go back to 0202 dont you think.
and if it aint broke dont fix it.
401 works booted all auto 1T If any one wants it go to the Asus forum and ask they will email or if you can't get wait until I finish installing a drive and I'll email to someone that can post it. I'll wait a few minutes if someone can give me a email I'll do it now

473 x 9 is rare, rare enough that i find it odd, unless it was super cooling with super cooling on the chipset also.
all mine are with the P5N whats yours with.

Isn't undervolted CPU's kinda irrelevent to the thread? I could understand if it was a really fast oc, but bragging about a 6600 running at 3.6ghz? :rolleyes:
haha, yeah thats on my fully modded AW9D-MAX, with a Mach 2 GT on cpu and an alpha-cooler with a delta fan @ 6k rpm on NB :)Quote:

New findings, everybody with same problem should read that
If your board doesn't boot up after a reboot with the settings, you know it runs stable with (RAM timings)... Changing subtimings of the RAM solved my problem - going into BIOS, changing one setting to another value there - save changes, restart - voila successfull boot! if you want the setting changed back, just change it and reboot. easy as that.

i hav no idea what you just said. and your english is fine i just dont understand.
and change what subtiming ? there are several.
and you guys with issues, sorry to hear that mine is kick arse and takin names.
no other board has let me run 4-3-3-12 at 950mhz. not even the 680i.
the only issues i have with the baord are the big jumps in vdimm voltage, its too big they need finer timings.
other than that my board is kickin tail.
the ONLY other problem is that i can run and warm boot at 423 x9 which is as high as the 1066 strap goes, (and its 20 seconds faster on 32m Pi.
but coldbooting wont boot. and it wont boot into safe mode either, i have to reset the cmos.
that i dont like.
also booting into safe mode if the overclock fails is very flakey. it rarely works.
