These scores have always been suspicious... now we need explanations :S
my bet 680i dfi
i've seen coolaler/andre and others do 12m 5xs on Allendale CPUs with 4GHz and slower RAM............32M is not all that special considering the RAM speed and CPU speeds (and it's a B2 conroe). my 1M with untweaked system (965 chipset) and 4xxMHz 4-4-4 on RAM was 12.8xx in 1M.........you'd think that time would improve enormously with such RAM speed  and supertweak
i think those screenshots are confusing even more as they don't indicate the same tweaks used as per the W.R. runs hmmmmmmmm
^^^ The above results were not using any windows tweak.

Nice title Joe! :D
Lol, you're a bit slow on the uptake, he's had that for nearly four months now. :p:Quote:

I'm working on it. I don't doubt OPB's results for an instant. I'm trying to get him to run the same MHZ as Kyosen's 12.047 run with his tweaks to see if he can match or better that time with the ES X6800 he used and a retail X6800. I know it may not be a sub 9sec but the same tweaking and similiar outcome can be had if you believe in such things as that.
On that regard, does anyone remember which multi, fsb and memory timings Kyosen used?
Jason, is OPB saying that his unusually high score is due entirely to OS tweaking? And is he saying that he starts with a standard windows XP sp2 install?
I think that opb or coolaler doesn't have to show us their tweaks.
However, it could be interesting to see a video run during a simple bench at 5GHz. If they are so good clocker and optimiser, they should probably do sub 10s.
5000MHz * Time = 49700 so time = 9.94s. Let's see them in action ;)
If thay could optimise to get 49700 at 5.5GHz, they could do it easier at 5GHz.
I'm waiting a video :)
Let's not forget that 10.344s@4.71 = 48720
One thing is clear to me. All the scores of TAPAKAH were a bull :banana::banana::banana:. People claim they were cheats. He said he got a modified BIOS and a super tweaked OS.
He started posting his results in name of XS and NO ONE do NOTHING.
Not any moderator, not any "extreme owner" post saying he was a lier. Now we got a hughe post telling two of the best overclockers are cheaters. Why? in my opinion because they dont share their tweaks and they dont post for XS.
period
Hi, did you call me!?;)

I appreciate Vapor's analysis of SuperPI time trend...
...at least, it helps for us to distinguish whether the time is feasible or "accidental".
We Japanese often use the word "magure" in such an "accidental" situation.
"magure" is very convinient word, but it's difficult for me to explain the usage...
...if you have Japanese acquaintance, try to ask him/her about "magure":)
Back in early October bachus_anonym denounced TaPaKaH's results (click here). Today's admittance only confirmed what many of us were saying months ago about his results.....I know many of us just never bothered looking at any more of his results because we couldn't trust him.Quote:

Anybody else posting those results, and their WR "rights" would have been pulled already....OPB and Coolaler are at least given the chance to prove the scores because of the respect they have earned.
Kyosen-san, thank you for stopping by :)
EDIT: and many of the links and issues boblemagnifique and others have listed, IMO, do not aid them. There is a growing stack of things that need explaining. There's a cliche that can fit nearly any noun: "once a _______, always a _______" and should one of those things that need explaining go unexplained, or admitted to being cheated, both OPB and Coolaler may get the tag of "cheater."
Unfortunately, it does no one any good to be called a cheater, but it also cannot go ignored.
The more I think about it, and the more I look at the data I and others have posted, the more I warmup to the idea that OPB and Coolaler have cheated to achieve some of these scores. And that is unfortunate. And if true, it is unfortunate that two XS Legends have resorted to cheating as a way to achieve results.
Magure as in magure atari?;)Quote:

I would like to think that anyone looking @ these numbers being soo far off the norm might at least consider why. If you see a result from another forum that looks too good to be true I'm sure you might have some questions to ask. It would be great if OPB could try for it again, get a new record or close, then we can get back to business.
I agree... :clap:Quote:

Well here's what two people (one of them is myself :) ) who know Tarakan personally (= TaPaKaH in Russian transcription) have to say on his "admittance":Quote:

Btw, apart from those E6400 Allendale/Conroe results, all other of his scores already back to P4 days have not shown any anomalies (correct me if I'm wrong). So I repeat here that I believe he posted that "I'm the ultimate cheater" thing with the only reason to call out a ban on himself. Why? Now that's another question and I have already asked him on his motivation calling himself a cheater on a local forum we both post in . At the moment, I'm still waiting for a reply from him.
As I've pointed out to him, he obviously doesn't realize the consequences of his said words because he has repeatedly offered me & kiwi and other local benchers to form a local Latvian benching team. However, with his latest move here he basically has doomed his own idea since we can't cooperate anymore with him because any results obtained and posted here at XtremeSystems might then be questioned because of his participation.
However...
... so let's stay on topic :)Quote:

facts, apparently OPB is not so honest afterall, I think we are safe to say that he tingled with his results before his WR, so all of a sudden why is it so imposible for him to do it again?
p.s. what 8800GTX scores ?
Off topic againQuote:

I found this on Magure ;)
But I think kyosen really means thisCode:"Elsewhere, D.D. discovers the purpose behind the strange energy
being released by the defeated Magure. Apparently, it's a form of
communication, feeding combat and environmental data to other Magure,
which means that the next enemy will have all the abilities of the
previous five, making it virtually unstoppable!"
fluke / chance
The fact is he did until very recently ;)Quote:
