Doesn't the Newegg link say they're 9-inchs long ?

..ok...that was uncalled for, :P well just check the benchmarks its as good as the gtx in almost every one, not trying to be a beating I have a gts and it performs great, but for less price is a card that only uses one slot which i love because I will hhave more space for my pci cards and its pcix 2 compatible but its my opinion :P
A couple of the newegg links (MSI, base XFX model) have pictures now too... also here's another link, even higher clock on this Superclocked eVGA: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130302
i'll pay extra for a fat cooler ..
Ive found them herefor UK people, they're getting 50 on the 29th, not a bad price either
Thanks happychappy.
Looking forward to these and at that price! Waiting on the release of the new GTS before I make my decision though.
For £134 is a winner for me. This baby can do +12k on 3DMark06 as a default setting at 1280 x 1024, my old 7900GT can do 6k. So it means is the right time to change it. I bought my old 7900GT for £220, this card is almost 80% cheaper and gives 2 x 7900GT of performance, man this is a coming true dream.
Metroid.
My 8800GT is at home! ! ! !
Great silent product, now i am testing games for monday review ...

??
Does that mean EVGA's overclocked 8800gt is a ripped off ?
Is better to pay the extra to buy a cooler and overclock it yourself ?
Thanks for the reply. :)
woohoo!! 4 more longest days of my life expect the time i thought i caught Clementia off this chick and it took 48 hours before i new i was alright but that's another story
Sorry..has there been a SLI performance of this card?
Gahhh... my cheap OnSale order got cancelled due to the item being "discontinued" (it hasn't come out yet :(). Oh well, back to watching like a hawk...
why is everyone in a rush buying the 8800GT?
doesnt look so special to me.....
i would wait for RV670 results first, but thats just me
Well this is the way I see it. If all the benchmarks and stats are true, the 256megabyte model will be $199, the 512 will be $250 with the oc versions being 15-30 dollars more. The gts models will be $325.
8800gt 256 $199
8800gt 512 $250 (600mhz)
8800gt oc 512 $275 (700mhz)
8800Gts 512 $325
8800gts oc $349
The $250 gt seems good if the benchmarks are all true and the pcie-2.0 pci-e 1.0 doesn't have any effects on performance.
I would love to know what the max overclock is on these cards, since thats what's more important than just the core clock.
I'm going to calll up the techs at bfg, xfx, evga and see what they say about numbers here...........
Whats the worst that can happen, buy a $250 card, don't like it, and sell it for $225?
I am going to wait until mid november to see how the new gts and ati cards perform and then I'm going to sli or crossfire if it's not so pricey ;P Either way, the Gt from the specs looks like a great deal.
I sold my gts cards, so I'm happy ;P
