Ok Good news.. :)
ABIT will bring up their SLi version ...
I am having troubles with this board....but mostly becouse I was gone from overclocking a loooong time and I may be missing a lot of stuff in the bios.
Can we please make a good bios settings list and what to use or not to use?
I have:
Abit AN8
Winnie 3000+ (realy bad one I guess)
2x 512MB Adata Vitesta 566 (TCCD)
6600GT
Tagan 480W
Its cooled stock right now then it will get chilly watter.
I cant get over 235x9 or more FSB with lover multi for now.
:stick:
set HTT width to x4 ;)
Hehe....ok I get it now :)
Now at 280x8 will test this cpu now.
 that was fastQuote:

so yours should be = 280 x 4 = 1120MHz up & 1120Mhz down :slobber:
Ok stuck at 280x4 cant get higher but at least this is stable as hell
It feels like the ram is out of juice :(
What timmings should be used? Ive got 2.5, 3, 3, 6, 11, 16 (CPUz)
try this
2.5-3-3-10-10-16
if you think your TCCD max out at that timing
try this
2.5-4-3-10-11-16
:hehe:
The loose timings do the job ok so I am at 305ish but seems there is a problem with the multipliers I cant run 300 lower than 8 and my chip is a poss
305 htt at 2x
Not bad for 1gig or what? Need more volts one the ram please :D
multiplier 7 capable running at 310MHz with
3-4-4-8-12-16
but that will bring your total speed to 2.17GHz... :(
How bad is your Processor?
2400 with 1.6V baddish :stick:
Its :banana::banana::banana: but waiting for a handpicked one now.
I cant run 310 with the multi under 8 I cant run 300 with multi under 8.

They got it up to 310MHz at 7
with
AMD 64 Winchester 3200+
7x310 MHz stable
1:1 HTT:RAM
2x512 Corsair XLPT
Have you maxed out the DDR VTT Voltage? How about x3 HTT width?
No...no go 310 is not stable no matter what.
Its the RAM 2.8V is just not enough.
But it works at 305 4x htt :)
I maxed out my voltages but no improvement...I have to get a better cpu :(
emmm.. Ok :)
What is the max speed of your RAM? Have you tested it before you got the AN8 ?
Or this is 1st time you OC your TCCD? :hehe:
305MHz for 1 GIG of ram is ok... dont feel to bad... Congrats
 ok what do you think?
Any other suggestion ? :hehe:

Yes its my first with TCCD.
But I was the one that first found out what Samsung was capable of on a KR7 and PC2100 ram when I hit 197 on a KR7 and 212mhz FSB on a KX7 later. :D
Thanks for all your help for the OC tictac
PS. Do you know how it will be possible to increase the voltage over 2.8V? a voltmod is fine with me
I will have a working volt mod for this board by the end of the weekend. picking it up sunday and will voltmod before i install. will upload a how to after I confirm that board works ok and is stable after its done. Btw tictac if you do mod the bios how high are you gonna set the setting so I can test for stability at that voltage for you.Quote:

yeah... 3,6v vdimm would be nice :)
best i can prolly test at is 3.5v with my antec true power 430 i get about 4.0 max on my 3.3v line but the ddr ends up seeing 3.5ish at 4.1 power supply goes berserk i thought i lost a couple boards like this but luckily just reset cmos and was all good. Ok I'll test at max I can get out of it and since im using bh5 chips im sure it will love it. Say a prayer for my 3000+'s memory controller for me :) will be nice to see if this gigabyte board ive been using is holding my cpu back to good stepping bad OC :( cbbhd 0450 should do better than 2250mhz and to boot it hates bh5.
