i'm not agree with you , okay the 3200+ got 260 Fsb but the memory bandwith is very lower than FX.Quote:

In fact , the things you should understand on this graphic are :
-Dual channel is not indispensable pifast excluded (A64 soon ddr500 stock)
-Ecc is very bad.
Wow 36s at only 2.27G. That is the standard A6 not FX right?
what cpu's are those for the 36s and 45s run?
yes cpull use 3400+ 1Mo L2
Man I just realised that I hadnt put my 3400+ scoresz in this thread :p:
Here's some pifast
http://users.tpg.com.au/spark69/an50r/pifast42.23.jpg
and some SuperPi. I didnt push SuperPi any further as the score aint gonna get any better until I cross the 2970 barrier.

and a max (very unstable) screenie

Also does 3dmark up to 2947, and sandra crapola up to 2970
fine codered !!
i want to congratulate you for your ti4600 3Dmark performance , i tried to beat you with my Fx53 , but i just broke my nose :D.
your ti must be very optimised ;)
misteroadster I see your point now. But still 60FSB is quite a bit of bandwidth.
yes , i think A64+ 1Mo L2 needs 4000 in sandra mem bandwith to be most powerfull than FX53 at same frequency , after it's just a question of final frequency.
At 240X10 5/3/3/3 i got the same score 3Dm2001 than FX53 at 200X12 5/2/3/2
Thanks man.Quote:

Yeah, my drivers and settings are quite tweaked. What GPU/mem clocks were you using for that 20600 run? My guess is 350/750 based on your nature score, is that close?
Firstly try win2k + DX 8.1 + 42.51 drivers
order the tests as follows
Lobby low
Car High
Lobby High
Drag Low
Drag High
Nature
Car Low (repeat as often as necessary)
LOD=3.6 for lobby and 4.1 for the rest
yes , i forgot my settings , there was about 350/750 yes , in fact i had to confess that i concentrate on 9700pro title.
I ve modded my 4800 in 1 hour , put it in my chiller , and runned 3Dmark.
But i ll come back man :)
Thanks a lot for your advices. ;)

it explain that coeff 4 go higher than the others.

Sorry off topic but that is really impressive Orak.
i compare FX53 and 3200+ Overclocked to the max :

Tis @ Boxed cooling. But pifast woud only run 1 time. 2550 was no problem. The cpu could do more when he is gonna use beter cooling. Maybe a 3.0 @ Prom M II GT ?

Firstly, hi guys. Been browsing here for a long time and finally decided to drop in from OCAU :)
Un-modded AN50R, so ram is at 5:6, but I am trying to get some BH-5 and do some mods soon to the board, so fingers crossed :) Cooled with an LS.
For info, the mutliplier is at default (11) so with some good ram, vmods, and a drop of the multi should prove to provide some fun results :) I was thinking of dropping the ram ratio right down and push this chip just to see what I can max the cpu at :)
CPU- CAATC 0351XPMW
http://users.bigpond.net.au/fxr91/A64.jpg
nice, get a vcore mod going mate... you could reach even much more :)
Yep, vmods are next on the cards :) The way I see it, if I get the chip to that speed on default voltage @1.68, it should go further around 1.8
I have the trimpoits sodlered up, just gotta get the guts to solder to the board now. Got an old dead 8RDA+ here I will be practicing on :toast:
My second 3400+ is very bad
2.8GHz at 1.75v unstable
2.84 at 1.8v or 1.9v
there is a problem
look what i got ;) don't take attention to the vcore...it's just cause i've keep the setting of my 3200+
it's the first boot i can't test today but tommorow i will try to clock it ;)

Boogtop yup nice chip you got there. I am facing similar results with my CAAOC TMPW err something like that. 2.75ghz @ 1.7v stock mach2. These chips seem to be doing very well
i got strange thing with this chip...i can't get it prime stable at 2.6ghz but i can run SuperPI and 3dmark around 2.85-2.9ghzQuote:

it's look like at any speed over 2.6ghz he are unstable in some prog like Prime and Pifast but he is 3d benchable at 2.9ghz

would you give an a64 2 volt for a long time ?
or how much would you give for a long time ?

good chip too XPMW 0350 pawaaaahhhhhh :D
mister where are your xpmw  :p:
:smileysex
so I been toying around with this chip. I had 250X10 last night prime stable at 1.7v but this morning I could not boot windows. I Had to bump down to 245x10 in order to load windows. Looks like I need the vcore mod. What do you guy's suggest as a 'safe' vcore range for a watercooled 3200+.
Also I had some real problems running 2x512 of bh-5. Wouldn't overclock even to 205. 2x512 of pc3200 OCZ EB worked well, but I cannot manually change the timings or the system will hang on POST. Only in nvidia system utility will the timings change.
So I am gonna now see how low I can get this vcore at 245. Not much I think but it's worth a shot.
After reading this thread I decided to buy A64 3200+ (moving from 2.4c @ 3.6)
So, what is the best stepping for this CPU?
One more question:
Should I go for the GA-K8N Pro or AN50R?
thx
And sorry if my english is incorrect
Im french :P
woops I meant to edit.
Both are Good Motherboards..Quote:

I like the AN50R because I can get up to 4V Vdimm with Mods.. But this Mobo has killed a lot of Cpu's. I blew up one of my A64's just by clearing Cmos  But, This won't happen on an Unmodded Mobo..
The K8N pro, I think is a little more stable Motherboard out of the Box..
hi i will not be angry but can i have a answer please ? if it sounds bad sorry for my english

hmm wich board ist the best for overclocking with an amd a64
i think at the GA-K8N Pro but i need good voltmods an i hope it will be about 300 fsb(HTT) with pc 4400 memory what du you mean can i get this result ? 300 fsb (HTT) ??
my best fsb with my k8n pro :
http://membres.lycos.fr/cpulloverclock79/391.5.JPG
nothin big i jus got my amd 64 to 2.3 ghz
2V is a bit high for 24/7. But if you have phase-change like your sig says, I think 2V should be fine.Quote:

Personally I have had 2.05 V, even with watercooling, but only during testing and benchmarking.
Asus k8v unmodded 1005bios, Corsair bh-5 blablabla..... Thermalright SLK-948U cooled with crappy 2800rpm fan :p:

Hello.
I'v got an option to hand-pick an A64 3200+. :toast:
Which stepping should I go on (full stepping details please)? which week?
I'm kinda confused...
- sorry for my english, i'm terribly tired. :stick:
Look for a green one.
Sofar all my CAAOC 0352XPMW went above 2,4 on air.
Important is that its somewhere during weak 0351 - 0359 those go really nice.. .and XPMW is also kinda important cause Ive seen those go really far on phase change.
My a64 3400+ went 2600 mhz on air... (XPMW) of course
You mean week 0352 i asume ;):)Quote:

Whats the best OC for a 3200+ on TEC cooling? Was looking into getting the new ZNF3-250 and v-moddin it.
Great, thanks for the help!
So if i'll find a CAAOC XMPW 0352 CPU overclocking is guaranteed? :toast:

Heres my new 3000+ on a VNF3-250 Chaintech board. Stock air for now so nothing special. What part of the stepping is the "stepping" we care about on the A64's?

3x LDT multi. Had it at 4x with 220 HTT than I set it down. How high can the HT on the chips go? 166 fsb ram divider set in BIOS because I dont feel like spending alot of time messing with my BH5 at only 2.9V. Vcore is set to 1.65V in BIOS but as you can see MBM5 and CPUZ report it as almost 1.7V and sometimes a bit over 1.7V.
You almost certain get an increase in terms of performance :) btw. I believe you mean r134a :)Quote:

i'm testing an K8NSNXP (K8NNXP NF3 250)
HTT 4X240=960Mhz
difference with FX53 is 1sec at same freqs :

2400/200 ram (10X240 desynch166) superpi 1M : 36S
http://pageperso.aol.fr/misteroadste...p+2400-200.JPG
looking g8 misteroadster...
tried lowering LDT at the same speed and wrote down the spi number? Could be interesting :)
LDT 2X or 3X do the same time.
this mobo is so similar but very different than K8Npro.
With K8Npro or other nf3150 , when you launch a bench the vcore raise down ; on this one it raise up of 0,07v , and i could hit 1,8vcore(1,83v Cpu-z) stable aircool (thermaltake silent boost).
Also i have a gain ; about 40 mhz.
Clockgen support only multiplier :/
I'll mod it and put it in my chiller soon.
Intresting... 512k more L2 cache and 1x higher LDT nets you 2S... How high can these chips/boards go with 4x LDT? 1ghz before one craps out?
I get 36s at 240*10 in asynch mode with my K8N pro and 36s at 241*10 always in asynch mode with my AN50RQuote:

with r404 = -50°C ????????? is that posible
Nein ich spreche nur ein bischen german.. :)
-50 would be on the "evap" temp stated on the Mach unit.. but yes that should be possible :)
-50c with r404a is quite possible..
r404a evaporates @ -50c / .82bar and thats no problem. I would guess a machII can manage pulling a .7bar vacum which gives -53c
Holy crap, cpulloverclock :D
thx :)Quote:

Heres superPI:
Damn, Im losing my mind with this 3400+ cpu :(
It can run benches like Pifast at 2529MHz with stock cooling, but when I put it under r404 modded prommy (+ enchanced condenser) it can run easily 2600MHz with 1.55V. If I raise voltage to ex. 1.72V and try 2700MHz it isnt stable at all, because temps rise too high. After little SuperPI run bios show +6c - +13c temps, even lcd front panel says -56c (temp sensor was calibrated during r404 mod, so its accurate)
I have checked contact three times, and it have allways been perfect (perfect TIM print in IHS).
Is there a problem in contact between heatspreader and core, or what? With P4 3.4C overclocked to 4.3GHz, temps were near -40c at idle so this isnt a prommy issue.
