I don't know what is improvement, but for sure nobody complain and mostly people ask for this.

well thats a start mate, im still on F3H no BSOD on idle
i appreciate your wishes very much we deserve the cup, we got our boy Luis Suarez playing on Liverpool there (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Lal_...eature=related)
cheers !

Heh , Im starting to regret buying a UD7, everyone seems to hate on that board. Last night i did a OC trial with my CPU and it was a really bad blocker 4.8ghz 1.5v, Instant BSOD on Prime 95. I Ordered a new CPU, i hope this is the board causing all those BSODs. :(
it aint the board my friend its a very strong one but u need to use the right bios, use F3H stay out of trouble
and i have a B2 revision still runing strong
i benched 3D at x54 and SPI on x55 on water at 1,64 vcore, raided on SSD and HDD did many things even if there´s another better one and i can get it i will keep this
cheers !
Sergio
yes maybe my fault as i was complaining about the newer BIOS not the board i love the board and as i said mine its even a B2 flashed to B3
well for one the guy that hates on GB hated on GB before he bought the board, zsamz or whatever, from before he bought the board he hated it.
Either way its a strong board, it can OC very high, you just have to know how to use it.
BIOS is the only problem I see with this board, and well all the good OCes with the P67A-UD7-B3 are done with F3H, with the three original levels of LLC, no boot loop, good memory clocking. The only thing is ppl think that BIOSes after that should incorporate the same things that BIOS did, but they don't. Maybe its to improve overall compatibility with other products, but there are some problems with RAM clocking really, and the 10 levels of LLC, which seem that they were done to make this board more compatible. In all they aren't that big of a problems, a normal OCer would never notice them. if you want a great OC BIOS for the UD7-B3, try F3h and flash your backup BIOS to it as well.
We have seen people hit almost 6ghz with this board, so yea it OCes very high, and RAm OCing is good too you just have to use the right BIOS.
If you want to know about this board more please just read through this thread, you'll hear complaints and then praises of different BIOSes for different tasks.
In all this board is fairly new, and i think the BIOS support would be stronger if Intel never had this stupid bug, making everyone change their BIOS code, and then releasing Z68, its hard to keep up with all the new releases for the same board really. This board has three different types: P67A-UD7, P67A-UD7-B3, Z68X-UD7-B3.
The UD7 is a great board for any 24/7 machine with a heavy OC, that is what its built for, but if you want to do extreme OC you need to use BIOS F3H, as that is the best BIOS for it.
Yea I flashed to F3H, and i saw some people still mod the F3H with newer "drivers"? and i flashed to the latest F3H.
How do you flash the backup bios?
And as if right now im still waiting for my new chip. I RMA'd the other one, it was such a black clocker damnn.
And since i don't wanna rely on OC guide too much.
To OC 24/7 5-5.1ghz I just need to raise the Vcore and put LLC1 or LLC2? and leave all the other voltages on auto?
F5 a bit easier with hyper
LLC10 Vcore 1.555 bios

spot on sin , just need a bios that will support the new ivy cpus don't know whether f3h does , just with the 3 original llc levels, i love the board and mines a b2 and had no probs really and none of my sata port have corrupted and i use my ud7 for hours a day, i have the b3 f3h bios at the moment and have had the z68 bios on it as well no probs
thanks sin
I can confirm the same: UD7 B3, bios F3H and zero problem so far.. the board is a lot more stable of the early bios on B2 ( bootloop, etc ). before i had too the B2 and with latest bios, the board was ok too.
I use 2 SSD in Raid0 on the SataIII port + 2x 1To SataII + 2x old 500go SataII HDD, no problem at all.
Nice score Dumo.
Had some issues with the Z68XP UD5 but since flashing to latest bios F3, it works great.
The rebooting issues are gone, it recovers from a failed oc like it should.
Clear cmos button works first try without having to hold it down for ever, removing battery, 24 pin or removing a stick of ram.
Switching out memory kits is no longer a pita because of the boot loops.
I dont even need to clear cmos now to go from PSC to hypers. It will reboot twice, third time it goes to bios, and I just change timings, sub timings, vdimm, set the multi back to 56 and it boots like a champ.
Clocks the 56x chips easy now using the 56x multi.
Its better with hypers than the p67 ud5/ud7 and requires much less vdimm. Running a kit of 2333 c9 hyperx 2133-2150 6 9 6 27 at 1.72v, and the 2000c8 hyperx hypers at 2150 7 7 7 24 1.76v bios.
It also allows me to use the 2000c8 Dominators at 2133 7 7 7 24, but only for 3D benching, still wont pass 32m but its a big step forward from before.
Props to Gigabyte for getting this right
This is my benching rig and OS, with a 2x1gb kit I use for everything but 32m. I really dont care about 24/7 stability at 5ghz, its not needed for web surfing and the few other things I use it for.
This is the first LinX Ive run in months, and honestly I dont miss stability testing a bit. But I did a very short run with this rig just for fun. It wont pass with memory at 6 9 6, would take a large bump in vdimm, so I used 7 9 7 to keep it low.
Using a fairly good water cooled setup for this.
man you posts soundin like your first review total gigabut pr
we all know you a gigabut reviewer and ....you gonna kiss gigabut for freebies
get a clue the bios makes the board
why you think an asrock board is good DUH it got a better bios than gigabut
wtf you talkin 7 months for a board is not new
so how old is f3h huh:rolleyes:
good for 24/7:rolleyes: maybe for those who clock below 4.8
so why you think i hate gigabut as a company
the bios support is lacking and they rush to be the first to get board out n release boards before they are finished
and i've bought almost every chipset gigabut ever made in the past 10 years
and only the p45 and x58 series were good
my little gene-z is spankin my x ud7 in every way
Just finished installing my new rig into my own case this evening. :)
Everything was going perfect until i noticed that my Windows logon loading time got raped!
After continuously searchin what the problem could be (uninstall application > reboot... and so on and so on...) i finally found out it was the Gigabyte Smart 6 application that slows down the windows logon dramatically.
Without Smart 6 my windows logon takes 3-4 seconds at most (after typing in the password). With the software installed it takes about 12-14 seconds!
Just a heads up. :)
Other then this im loving the board!
I am not going to make a fight, but GB doesn't tell me what to say, i say as i see it. So please. I also don't suck up for free stuff, i say what i want to say, i am not a 15 year old walking around without a bankroll, I don't suck up for a motherboard LOL, get it through your head. Does this review sound like I am sucking up?
http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...ing-P67-V-Z68))
I do agree the BIOS could be better, but F3H is a good contender, and the newest most recent BIOSes aren't half bad. Its just a short time before we see better BIOSes.
get your facts straight before you start typing
how freekin old is f3h lol
ya you not a kid but lol you twist n plain out lie
you got caught in lies in your first review;)
if i buy hw i gonna be honest good or bad
if it was good i wouldn't sell it @ a loss i woulda kept it as a backup
you a gigabut suckup
now go get your next free luch or board ....
Hey Zsams..What is your problem? You crapped on this thread long enough. You don't like it...then its fine, but please just leave this thread or ignore it, you don't use this board anyway (NOW)
Just try to cool this board and a high multi 2600K with subzero then probly you can see what I'm talking about:)
You probly only run it with water
Just a friendly suggestion:)
So,where is your words? :shakes:
Btw,
with latest BIOS,Turbo Boost work as per Intel spec....x38. ;)

-When memory XMP used, all for cores are x38 (?).
-When BCLK Clock Control "Disabled" it's show 100.3 MHz in CPU-Z.
