I agree with Lestat. In the film days it was up to the lens, photographer and type of film used. But nowadays, the digital body is your film. Every generation is marginally better than the previous. However, the better the sensor, the more there is a need for better lenses so that you know which lenses can out-resolve or under-resolve the sensor itself.
For example when the 18-55 IS was reviewed, it was done I believe with a 15MP 50D or T1i and the lens out-resolved the sensor but on the 18MP 7D's sensor, i think it is pretty much hitting it's limits. I would probably need higher end EF-S glass for the max resolution like the 17-55, 15-85 and the 18-135.
It may look nicer in B&W. I like the grain btw....also if you run it trough LR, increase the Luminance in the Blue channel and the white in the eyes will look better.Quote:
