Could be but i haven't updated the bios on that board for ages. :D It has an E4500 running in it and that works great. With my E8600 in it there was no post whatsoever. :(
The cpu isn't lapped but i don't know if it's still under warrenty, it's over a year old.
my mobo rampage extreme is dead
and my retailer dont have anymore this motherboard
how i can to have a replacement from asus?
thank you
mail tech support, prepare to ship the mobo, and hope you have at least 3-5 weeks patience to get a repaired one
but normally ya vendor should take care of that the first two years...
would this F3-12800CL7D-4GBECO memory work on the rex?
I'm really enjoying this board. First stability run's:
E8600 Q820A727 5100Mhz + Super Talent Project X DDR3 1800 D9GTR (haven't tested lowest vcore yet, just quick stable run):

nicely done Jor3lBR,looking forward to more results from you with this board:up:
Hey guys, thanks!
Anyone know the ropes to boot stable with low volts at 600x8.5 2001Mhz DDR3 cl8?
I tried a lot of stuff but it just needs a heck of more volts to get into Win7, like 1.75nb and 1.7vcore etc...
What kind of settings I have to look at to get that 600Mhz working good?
Maybe give 333 strap a go mate, with it I need only 1.55NB voltage and 1.35ish VTT to get 600FSB and 1920Mhz C7-8-7-20 fully stable on air, however I PL is 9 and clock twister set to Moderate. but very nice clocks for daily use. For benching most use the 266strap with 2:3 divider for high +600FSB clocks
For benchign turn off Loadline calibration when pushing high volts !! (at least that's what everyone told me to do to not waste the Samsung chip on the backside )
Hey Leeghoofd,
I guess you are right the culprit is the 200 strap. I was getting Memtest #7 errors no matter the volts.
I was able to fine tune some settings that I never touched before to get lest errors on Memtest #7:
nb skew from auto to 100ps
nbddrref from auto to +50mv
I guess the key to stability lies on those settings for each setup.
I tried to fine-tune the other settings like cpu skew and ddrchA and chB with no luck it keep giving me more Memtest #7 errors.
I still have a lot to learn here.
Strap 333 made all those errors go away
its been awhile for me as well but i have this SS with voltages.
maybe it can help.i think my ref voltages were all on auto.

@ZSAM AND RADAJA
Thanks guys,
I'll give 600fsb a try problem is when you are using 8.0 to 8.5 multi is a hole different story on cpu-vtt-pll adds a lot of pressure to the OC. I'm discovering some interesting things on some settings, too bad I don't have much time to test stability on this board, it needs to go freeze fast :-)
what 8 and 8.5 multi lol ? 10 is the way to go Joriber :p
Stuff Linx, do you think you need that stability for benching ? I only Memtest my settings ( test 5 and 7 ) then test with 7 multi under air and then we mount the phase or pot :p
