Me!

F7 betas are out now (for extreme and ud5), same place as before.
Have not tried it out yet though.
Question:
Anyone else having the problem that at exactly 201 bclk turbo gets disabled (f6 bios, 920 D0)?
At 200 it stays on even if I force the temperatures up with crazy voltages, but at 201 no matter the cpu temps turbo is gone.
I created a tool a while ago and in my opinion it is the most accurate way to monitor your CPU multiplier. It reads high performance timers within your CPU and is the Intel recommended way to monitor your multi on Core i7.
If you are having trouble with Turbo mode staying locked in, can you try this tool and see if it gives you any new information? In theory it might be able to tell you sooner if there is a problem compared to any other tools that are presently available.
I posted about it over here and I'm just looking for some feedback. Thanks.

I've had it, this more than I can stand!
I've changed the motherboard twice (EX58-extreme),PSU and graphics card and still have this problem http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mdolaz3I_xE
It happens randomly when I turn off the computer and then try to turn it on!
It won't boot at all unless I unplug PSU out of power outlet!!!
This is my 2nd Mobo and still I suffer, I tried one stick of RAM (I have 3x2GB OCZ 1600MHz DDR3 intel Extreme edition) and still no go!
I've been building PCs since God knows when, and I've never had so much troubles with a product like this motherboard!!!
Can any one please help me !!!
The Case had in it an X38 mobo before thi one and it worked fine!
I tried it, but it tells me the same as the other tools, turbo works fine at 200 bclk, at 201+ it does not.

Doesn't matter if I set it to 201+ in bios or easytune, result is the same.
naokaji: Thanks for testing that out. I think on some boards it's possible to have the multi rapidly kicking in and out and maybe not being detected by some software. On your board it's pretty clear that a bclk of 201 is game over. The temps aren't a problem so it looks like a bios issue.
@ naokaji
What BIOS are you using? You should not be having that issue, are you setting enough QPI Voltage? Not that it should matter, just wondering.
I would also be sure you are using the latest Easytune, and BIOS of course.
*EDIT*
Sorry, you are correct this is a issue for sure. I posted a reply to you here as well >>

Hi everybody=)
I hope this is the right place to ask, i finaly got my ass over to I7 and have orderd a Gigabyte UD4P and 920 D0.
But is Gigabyte X58 Extreme much better or does the UD4P do the job?
Thanks for all advices;)
Quick question for any UD4P owners possibly reading this. Which BIOS have you found to be better for D0 chips, F7 or F8a?
Where did you find the f8a?
Isnt the first time a mobo dont like a psu, remember some of the Dfi-mobos:P

I'm using F6 bios as F7 gives me some issues (some options in bios simply don't work and force me to reboot).
QPI is at 1.36V, QPI VTT is at 1.3.
About the resume stuff, it works on gigabyte boards, it was just a idea of me that some might want to try the workaround on non gigabyte boards.
Several issues need to be solved for GA-EX58-Extreme F7C BIOS.
One of the changes seen is The memory settings from 'manual' to 'quick' and 'expert'
1. If you press the power button to force to power off your computer it will turn off but then turn on again within a few seconds. Even in BIOS. Therefore you can't turn off by pushing the Power button...Sometimes that's annoying when you're trying to switch some memory slots
2. Disabling HT will result in no POST.
