Okay i can do 225 blck pretty easy with 106 pci-e bus. But anything after that results in a 89 boot code. As it will load right before the windows log and have a flashing "-" cursor. Book says setup ACPI table code. Doesn't matter if i up the pci-express or anything same thing happens again. So seems to me anything over a 225 blck for me is issues. Any thoughts on this one?
Max i got it to do was 235 blck. I got tired of trying stuff so i will continue later on it.

Ncie bclk KILLER K
Oh and zsams, my wifes really gonna like this XPower board.
yes last bios update 3 months ago, before that june and those are the only 2 i see on the wesite. look at gigabyte and asus, beta bios out very frequent, even if they arent great bios's it shows us they are still supporting the board. i didnt expect a lot from it so no big let down but a little support may help them sell more boards. this is my first and im sure my last msi board. i will say it has beat my rex3 for bclk though. so far topped out at 220 no slowmode.
1 question zsams, whats up with the sensor reading for aux? reads very high so i searched it on the web and all the screens i see show the same, very high.
loads of beta biosses for the MSI available OC_Nub (register at the MSI forums ) Could you pass 220 Bclock on theXpower via straight boot from bios ?
Thanks. Yes boot from bios no software, at 221 now but seems to be close to the limit.
Its actually not a bad board at all, recovers better than the classi from bad oc.
QPI even with LowDroop set in bios still has a bit of droop, 1.40 set in bios gives 1.35v reading with a DMM.
I like my R2E a little better in the overclocking range. Though the 760 takes less voltage but way too much stuff to change. Board layout is better on the 760 and of course the warranty. I hate the FF codes on these boards.....
Yes the no post FF code. As i wouldn't have no need to care if it booted and showed the ff code.
Well looks like the wife gets the rex3 zsams, this board and my 930 passed linx at 220x21~1.416v load, 70+ loops using my 3x1gb kit of hyperx.
WOOOOOOOOO
Boot from bios ..... incredible classified 3.The finished the bad times with R3E that crashed at 220 BCLK.
Thanks to the input of the post zsamz_ 2497 ;)
Thanks zsamz_:up:

Tomorrow will push more.............
is a well know thing that R3E sucks badly when talking about BCLK overclocking...
EVGA classified - except for some rare pieces, just like my first one - is by far better.
Is also thanks to the great radaja the change in less cpu and QPI without this change had enormous instability and low bclk, now I'm still at 230,4 and I can not get past maybe I need more time and also pcie frequency,Oc nub only managed to go further but I do not think that will share their secrets .
Hey guys,
Can someone help me in my 980X 4.5ghz using Classified 3 E770 ???
Assuming your 980x is up to it, really the two voltages you need to tweak are vcore and QPI PLL.
Hey folks! :D I figured I'd give this a shot here as well being the Classified thread and all...
Normally I would not ask many questions when it comes to hardware but this one has got me completely stumped. Basically, I got a new i7 970 a couple days ago and installed it on my EVGA E759 Classified (this is the limited edition board with NF200 chip) running the latest BIOS 77. Before installing the chip I did a full CMOS reset and loaded defaults, powered down the system, and proceeded to install the chip.
Now, I've got everything up and running and the chip is working fine except that no matter what combination I try the turbo multiplier on the chip is not working. I have already verified that it is not working using i7TurboGT, RealTemp, E-LEET, CPU-Z, and CPU Tweaker. I have tried every possible combination of EIST, C-states, and Turbo possible so far with no success. I simply cannot get the 25x multiplier to show up. I've even done multiple CMOS resets followed by setting the appropriate settings, ensuring that I am using the stock multiplier of 24x, etc., with no success.
I'm completely at odds what to do at this point
Any help you can provide I would appreciate! This is stopping me from using the chip to the full potential and I do not know what to do :(
Well after a year of flawless use, my boards usb ports have died I think. All the sudden when I turned my computer on the other day I had no mouse or keyboard. Plugged them into another computer and they worked fine. Plugged them into my classified and nothing. Not a light or anything. Anybody else have this issue? I am hoping I don't have to get another board and rma it.
