You should always prefer Intel ports over Marvell Ports (except Marvell 9182 seems to be good).
I don't have this "Thank-Button" either.

Maybe it's the browser you guys are using, have you tried signing in with another browser?
Or maybe you need to update flash or java?
Hm..very strange. I have newest flash and Java and I don't see the thank-button. Neither Firefox nor IE.
Yes, that is very odd then! And you have cleared your cookies and cache right?
Maybe it's your ISP, you'd have to sign in via proxy to test if it's that. You may need to start a thread about that here and see if Fugger knows what's going on with it, and so others could chime in as well if they are affected

*Edit* Ahhh, took my own advice, and looked in there :D
You need 100 posts before it appears, sorry guys I didn't know that until now

Why does a user have to post 100 times just to say "thank you"?
That's a pretty weired idea of a stoned programmer, isn't it?
Does anyone know if 8GB memory sticks would work with X58a-UD7 Rev1 boards?
48GB of ram would be nice.
I have read that some x58 boards work with it although there is nothing in the specifications for the boards that it did work with.
I have ordered these sticks:
http://geizhals.at/eu/736090
Will report about it.
48Gb works, speed is very limited though, due to strain on the IMC. 1800-ish should be possible.
24GB using 3x8Gb RipjawX-2133 ran 1800 8-10-9-28 1T.
Subs and performance are a little less than 6x 4Gb Ultra+ @ 1800 7-8-7
I'm only running at 1600 right now, if i bump my ram multiplier up then it doesn't boot.
not sure if i would notice teh differnce in day to day tasks anyways with faster ram.
how much qpi/vtt voltage do you guys need for that much ram?
Currently, I'm running 24GB 1600@7-7-7-24 @ Uncore 3200@ 1,295v qpi/vtt.
1600 Speed is ok, you can also optimize the timings slightly.
I supposse I will need some more qpi/vtt with 48gigs.
I had a x58 UD7 on the shelf for about half a year and I pulled it out again however it will not go to post. It does get power and the indicator goes all over the place for 2-3 seconds and then it shuts itself down.
It's down to back stuff now some corais xms3 memory that I know works on the board a 6450 radeon and my 920 D0 that's all that is connected right now. All is on legacy as in PS2 ports and VGA connected in the hope to get to the bios but no luck If someone knows a trick then I would be very grateful.
a video of the boards code run
edit:
ok got a little bit further it stops at 69 which means according to the manual turn on L2 cache however nothing as to how I can do that kinda weird when it's on the cpu or if it's just a cpu that is starting to act up?
edit2:
Well I got it solved finally. The culprit was a small piece of dust that found it's way in one of the memory banks. Not the best way to spend your Saturday but it is solved :)
Thanks for the hard work Lsdmeasap!
Would it be possible to update the BIOS to the latest OROM from Intel? Currently its v11.5.0.1582, as you can see in the following thread:
http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...1582-available
Thanks again!!
Hi guys.
Is anyone still around this topic?
I've had my G-X58 UD7 For like 3 years since its release day with the i7 930.
Recently i decided to upgrade to F9A Bios and went for some new overclocking settings.
My Results:
200 Runs Intel Burn Test 8 threds maximum

Next is gonna be a 24 hour prime test and might do the 500 runs Linx 0.6.4. If those pass to thats super stable.
Ill post my bios template in a bit.

Anyone still using this board?
I'm in the market for another (rev 1 pref.) Cheers
yea still on the same board with a 980x , not missed a beat i really see no reason to upgrade and has tobe the longest i owned a Mb, only thing i would swap is the 680 just for sake of it or even get another SSD
Good to hear i'm not the only one who thinks that this platform is terrific. I've had mine since 2009 and still don't see a need to upgrade, although I did just buy a 780 gtx and a 6core xeon! hopefully the Xeon overclocks as good as my lovely i7 930, and even if it does I will never sell my 930 chip. It's one of the best!
i swapped the 920 a while back and the temps were miles better even got the clock i wanted i.e 4ghz i can go more just i hit 920 temps i mean your looking at 20c in some cases, heart was set on 2011 though but after looking i saw no reason, the only upgrade was SSD speeds even though i did get a intel 520 drive lol , was temped on 780 but i like to jump a generation, Maxwell is my next Goal
