Oh my, if 1000 points is your goal before the holidays, what will be your goal during the holidays ...

Hehe, I plan to play some Call of duty during the weekends... maybe bench my e3120 a little bit;) Trying these 754 chips is actually a bit fun - but I wish my 754 board would've been a little less stubborn... Sometimes there is a HTTwall at 273mhz, sometimes it's at 360mhz - and ONCE I got it above the 360 mark, the chip stopped me at 385 - used 8 multi, which gave me well above 3ghz. That's no too shabby for a 754 chip on air;)
...but the board became really horrible to work with an hour ago, couldn't change ANYTHING in the BIOS - or it wouldn't post... so close, now I have 990 points:D - 1000 points will get me into the top 10, so I'll be on the FRONT PAGE!
@gianni: Please add 3600+ clawhammer (s754), 3600+ clawhammer (s939), mobile sempron 3300+ (albany core), mobile sempron 3000+ (dublin core), 3300+ newcastle (754) and mobile athlon 3400+ (newark core):D
These chips are not listed atm...
i'll add them to the database today evening. ;)
oh no! i've missed birthday 2 of this thread. :p:
cool that still peps out there who are interessted in "old" hardware.
bruce, are you crazy. :D
you want me to add so much amd cpus to the database? ::p:
Sorry:p:
I had some fun tonight... I've never tried to de-lid a CPU before, so I bought a 1€ carpet knife, and started messing around with some dead chips:D First IHS got off the die... but 6 or so broken capacitors:rolleyes: Windsor F2 (ADB4F something). The second one actually worked, a Brisbane G1.:) The third one... He he he he... Windsor F3. Are those soldered, you say? Whoops, I should've paid attention:p: I THINk I got the knife around without destroying the capacitors. However, I had to use a giant fish knife to separate the IHS from the PCB. Funny, the sound I heard was the same as when I tried to remove the heatspreaders off a 512mb stick of fatbodies. Corsair used GLUE:D AMD... soldered it:p:
When I visit a friend of mine we'll try to figure out the melting point of the solder, hehe;) Perhaps I need to take a photo of the poor die as well:ROTF:
Can you give us some pics of the removement ?
bruce, i added all your requests.
have fun and keep pushing :)
Knut: I got your PM, I'm busy doing research on the chips. It's a lot of work :( :D
i'll see what I can do in January, but as I have no camera myself it's a bit hard. I'm on holiday right now, so I don't have the chops with me.
Thanks, I'll post the scores in January, when I'm back from my holidays;)
Don't any of you ppl bench K8 anymore, btw?? This thread nearly fell out of the first page...
wow thats amazing

I'm still trying to find results for a few of them. My internet access is mainly from my phone so it's taking a while :D
Great CPU --> mine was 3666 MHz without cold bug.
Thanks stunned :)
here is the rest of my cpu: Z878276A60579
your cpu could go better because of the deeper number. try it under your vapochill.
On second thoughts, no. I could get a brand new 6000+ for the price he's asking. Moving on, I'm having some old skool socket A fun at the moment. I've got so much hardware in my room I've managed to lose an entire pc
Abit nf7-s/Mobile 2600/256mb bh6/Geforce 3 Ti 500 :\
How much did he ask btw? If I have some spare cash maybe I can try it;)
Btw, 3200+ 0614BPMW:
