@ patrickclouds is there a 2*molex >6 pin pci-e gfx card adaptor inkl...or has any1 seen any with either board or pci-e graphics card????
i have ordered a 6800GT for pci-e and it properly will need additional voltage beside pci-e .....and my psu isnt that fancy :)

no sorry, there are no pci-e adatpers included.
only a molex>2xs-ata adapter you m can have a look here:

i bought it from hpm-computer.de
and the stock bios was from 19th january 2005

oh man, my friend wants me to make him a computer, i could so easily sell him me 754 and get a ultra nf4, luckily he has to save money so AMR and E0 cores can come out, but i really want some new toys!

I did heard that the VX doesn't have the divider problem

with the MSI Neo4 MOBO.

But can anybody tell me if there is a divider problem with the VX and the

DFI NF4?

I just want to make sure there are not any problems. ;)

:confused: What d'Ya mean with divider problem? Using .5 multis on A64?

This is caused by memory controller and not by RAM......... :stick:

i get always errors, when i run MEMTEST.
the gskill 2x512 LA runs with:
200mhz at 2-2-2-5 1T --> errors
300mhz at 2,5-4-4-8 2T --> errors

i also tested with prime with 200mhz at 2-2-2-5 1T
it runs perfect over 2 hours, but the i wanted to stop that test --> *boom* bluescreen.

wtf could that be?
the board?
the ram?
or me?

:D Did Ya try with 2.9 Vdimm? Mine are running stable with that voltage.

BTW MEMTEST sucks - after trying several hours to get a stable setting without errors the rig didn't even boot with it........... :cord:

i tried with max 2,8 (bios option)--> 2,85real
ok i will try it with 2,9 that should be 2,93 real
but i was a bit confused, that i get errors with 200mhz at 2-2-2-5

edit:
no, with 2,9vdimm i also got errors :eek:

this should be the newest version
i´ll test the gskill in my shuttle (sn45g)
and an old corsair module on the dfi board

No problem at all - taken on NEO2 but DFI NF4 has almost the same RAM slot position.... :toast:

Have you tried one stick at a time? Could be that you have a faulty stick?

i saw the same thing on the msi k8n neo2 :mad: but after some bios changes i fixed it but then it wouldnt be stable above 220fsb even with 3.9v running trough mem :stick:

i´ve tried only one stick
the first stick passes memtest 3 times without errors
the second stick passes memtest 3 times without errors
then i tried both together in dual channel and i got errors.
so i decided to try both sticks in single channel
and voila they pass memtest 2 times without errors
now i´ll try both sticks in my shuttle in dual channel mode, if they pass , it must be the dfi board that makes the problems in dual channel mode :stick:

Hey guys, anyone an idea on how i can lock the sata ports for overclocking? I just received the board the day before yesterday, an if i set like 10x275MHz for example, my sata raid in port 1+2 ain't detected and the system wont boot either, just that moment windows is supposed to boot the system does a reset(system disk is on p-ata). if i disable my sata raid everything is just fine, windows boots fully normal then. I already tried sata spread spectrum in bios, but it wouldnt help...
any hints appreciated :stick:

edit: even with sata disabled i have severe problems(bios 126), cant boot into windows anymore at 10x275, i get a bluescreen saying "PFN_LIST_CORRUPT", thats kinda weird, cus my cpu will do 10x275 on any other s939 board... Memory was running at 133 and 166 dividers for testing as well, so it aint about that. 9x275 seems to boot fine...

Fist everyone said that's the one and only board, then there was a bug which delayed relaese and now the first boards are out and people only talk about problems..........

So I'm not sure what happens - what about the SATA ports - on NEO2 3+4 are locked very well but which one to use on DFI NF4?

Is there an official comment from DFI?

See now the poeple maxing out this board at 270 - 280, even with the 1.26 BIOS, that's not the deal I expected.

What about OPP & OPB, did they get a modded BETA sample to reach that fantastic speed?

I think we have to talk about - many poeple spent their money to go with the new DFI and nobody did it to be disappointed at all........

I haven't the board yet but will come soon and I know that all my other components are fine, so I can compare the new rig straight away to the NEO2 and if there anything will be faulty nobody can tell me it's the RAM or the CPU......

BTW people who are on single phase 24/7 with the board in a case know what I'm talking about - it's not just funny to change mobo and finding out that rig before was even better - dealing with all that insulation and other things is not done in half an hour.......

So lets hope the best and expect the worst........

So I have here a wonderful pure copper cooler with a 50mm fan turns 5000 rpm and if WC will not work I'll take this, I'll mount it on the metal stands to the mobo which I got with the WC kit with screws and the metal clip of a ZAHLMANN chipset cooler so it will be more tightened than the stock mounting with the cheap plastic pins.

Thanks :) I think I may head off to the machine shop... I guess both barbs may have to come out of the same end of the block looking at the position wrt the VGA card

BTW I do hope DFI haven't got this wrong (in answer to your post 583). If the SATA lock doesn't work I'm ******. And 270-280 HTT is no better than my Neo2 :mad:

I was just thinking the same thing! Glad I haven't had the money ATM to jump on this one!
I guess the best thing is to wait for more peeps to get their hands on one and see, but with alot of people like you already running a NF4 rig it gonna be easier to pin point any problems if they do arise.

For nfoece4 chipset just be carefull cause the core is fragile like those amd xp ones. I put some neoprane on around it to give a spring like(shims) resistance which a tad higher than the core....

HCC- I think Dumo has the Gigabyte NF4 board and the chipset is in a slightly different place to the DFI :(
