Question remains, can S-150 easily be adjusted to 18V and while already running too? 18v is 25% off. And I'd like the ability to go as far as 50% off (12v)... Or well, lowest I'd try is probably 15v so say 37.5%. Can the S-150 handle it (without modding it and voiding warranty etc)?

I have no idea. Originally i planned on getting the bigger unit with 10A load capability. I dont plan on undervolting the unit, as I do not have a problem with a little fan/pump sound. On the other hard, I guess we will see when we get the pimp pump :) how loud it really is. As that is imho very subjective.

Noise is not the issue with 18v, the RD-30 just has the best perofrmance at that voltage - according to cathar.

hehe, anyway, you prob don't wanna run it at less than 18v for either pump. Hey guys, we are at 10! No one has to send any extra money for the psu! I'll be putting the psu order in tomorrow and emailing the iwaki distrib to see what the deal is.

Sounds good! Would you mind running a quick startup test on the pump with the meanwells when you get them, to see if they work or not?

Looking forward to building my new box. Tracking on my package from MountainMods show it has arrived in country. Should have it on tuesday.
Now with the pump and power supply, all i need is a motherboard, cpu (cant decide if i want to wait for conroe or if i should just get a core duo - with a upgrade to merom later on)

Ok guys, I got good news and bad news. Goods news, the PSU's & RD-20's will be here next Tues or Wed, being shipped UPS (sorry, that's all they had). I'll take some eyecandy pix for everyone when the stuff gets here. Uh, get rdy for the bad news...... They have NO rd-30's at the factory in Waltham, Ma. ETA is May 31st.... I'm really sorry guys, looks like we are waiting for them unfortunately. I guess either they don't sell alot of them, or they sold out and we missed the last batch. ( I think the latter).

I can wait on the RD-30 as well. I have an RD-20 that I'm testing in the interim. Did they give you any guarantee that we'll get some by May 1?

Thanks for understanding guys and being patient. I spoke to 2 diff people 2 diff times just to make sure they weren't giving me the run around, one was the guy that took the order, the other was a lady that tracks them before they get to them. They both gave me the same date, so I can only assume they aren't giving us the run around. They were both pretty nice though, so I'm pretty sure it'll be around then, give or take a week I bet, eta's suck. At least it's not like Sapphire's 480 ETA, hehe.

I don't mind waiting, but why so long? Are they making them themselves?

well its an OEM pump... and is basically made to order because its not a "we're gonna stock 500 units in out warehouse until someone wants one" thing

Yes, that's exactly it. I doubt they even would have taken our order if we didn't have 17 pumps. Prob would have just told us we were out of luck. I'm beginning to understand why these are nowhere to be found. Iwaki America Factory is in Waltham, Ma.

Hopefully they overestimated on that eta by two weeks or so :)

ouch thats a pretty long wait....but at least that gives me some time to get some more research done and get $$ for a case to put this thing in!
