Did you find the vcore droop improved under dry ice ?
do you have any pics of your socket t insulation i was curious how to insulate the leaver / clamp.
nice clocks btw.

I hope to be putting my 661 and 930 under DI in next week or 2 (waiting on a tube). I am *hoping* for 6GHz benchable on the 661 (5.4GHz benchable/5858 suicide on the SS) and maybe 5.7+GHz on the dual core, but I expect them both to "suicide" >6GHz....hopefully ;)
@ leejsmith
here my friend

Boostedevo
droop on load is very bad ,idle @ 1.72v and load @ 1.64v ,my cpu/psu is enough for 6ghz or more but need mods to get it
 6ghz with 930 will be sweet ,GL with container and your new target(fsb@400) :toast:
thanks :)
did you use any grease in the socket or just the insulation around it ?

I've been to 400FSB before @ 14x on the 670 just long enough for a screenie...6GHz on a Presler @ 15x would be nuts, even just to see it. I'd be happy if it even benched stable at 5.6-5.8GHz...5.25GHz 3Ds are nice already ("for an Intel" ) ;)
Good luck on the hunt for 6GHz...can't wait to see you hit it!

Boostedevo my dividers are killing me....with rams like yours i can get that 22s Pi without mods
my scores with 631 and x1900xtx stockQuote:
5.25GHz 3Ds are nice already
3d01 37.4k
3d03 19.5k
3d05 11.4k

Oh man, I WISH I had an XTX, this XT and its weak clocks made getting these scores an absolute project...took 3 days of benching literally, LOL. I have an 06 that's not worth posting (7223) with the card at stock clocks....haven't run it yet with higher clocks. One thing for sure, the 661 was NO WHERE even close to these scores with 5.4GHz on it :D
1900XT 790-800/850, 930 @ 5250-5265 (GPU water, 930 SS). Definitely not bad for an Intel IMHO ;)

Yeah, it was beating the 661 in the mid/upper 4GHz range already. 06 had a 900 gain on CPU score, 05 is about 1000-1500 higher, 03 is like 2500-3000 higher and 01 is out of the ballpark higher, LOL.
Make no mistake tho, those scores were HARD to get, 05 in particular. I benched that one for hours on end. You know what got me from 13950->14K+? 1 more FSB and Performance Mode = Turbo, HAHAHA. I've had that shut off for a year and was so at my wits end, I was like, screw it, I'll give it a shot, LOL. It would've been a lot easier had I spend the extra $100 on an XTX...800+/900 on the card would've made it a ton easier.
Nice to have twice the cache running almost the same clocks :) I am loving this 930 to no end and it took SO much for me to order it since my first one was a dud (like 4.5 benchable on phase, 4.8 suicide). It's so nice, I want to put it under dice, but at the same time I don't
i love the new forcewares and cats ,they are doing a good work for dual cores,Quote:

i hit 5.55ghz on air and i don't think water or a better air cooler can help me with more clock ,dice was the only choice for me ,for you my friend is a bit diferent, you use a good SS maybe the change make no great diference(enough for 6ghz i guess) ,just give a try,we are waiting for yours scores under dice.Quote:

Well mine OC is not obviously as impressive as the one from PcCI2iminal but I guess it's a start.

your clock with low vcore is amazing my friend,i can run that pi @ 4.9ghz and the same vcore but under low room temp(0C)
congrats
I`ll be watching this!

droop 1.7v -> 1.63v @ idle :mad:
Dualies make you earn at lot :slobber:
Ain't the vcore falls down more when loaded?
Just mod it :D
Did the vdroop with a 30k trimmer, lapped the heck out of my 930, and the waterblock as well and ended up with

PCMark04 = 9,540
absolutely, that is stunning for cheapest Cedar mill .... :DQuote:

Hope I can do the vcore Droop mod next week... Maybe it will be benched @ prommy too.
This are not impressive results but stable for folding and gamming
Later on I’ll post some extreme benchs… At least I’ll try to do so.

nice system you have there :) What PSU do you use? and what are your load teps?

Helix, wish i have 920 like yours)
nicepun, did you notice any substantial difference in overclocking after lapping it?
Cheers
Before the lapping and the vdroop I was only able to do 4.2Ghz stable, with load temps up to 48~50c, @ 1.465vcore. Now if I use the same vcore my load temps don't go over 32c just to give you an idea.Quote:

300Mhz increase. Also, my PSU has reached its limit so I might be able to do more once I upgrade.
