finally someone besides oppainter who can be n°1 in 3dm01
now give us the 45k and were all happy :woot:
ps: how long was oppainter on the number 1 spot anyway ?
Good job! LN2 rules :toast:
Good payback for all the hard work :toast:
Excellent benching, you deserve a rest when you finally stop !
Regards
Andy
45K on Dothan would be quite Xtreme..
The Pentium-M screams for SLI-support :)
Congrats Kingpin :toast: 1500+ from OPP single card record is frkn impressive. I thout he would be on #1 spot forever :D . 7800's are unnoficial on orb so that makes you top dog now. You made the last remark in last gen hardware :slapass: , good work man
Here is my "Dothan collection"

How much slower is the 915 chipset to the 875, or is there not much in it ?
Regards
Andy
Sampsa.....
That is a sexy looking pile of hardware you got there! :)
A little mouse ;) told me that the orbs now recognize the g70's, so my official reighn will be very short lived. Still going for mid 45's later today, just to do it.
What the pentium m really needs now is an asus p4gd1 socket 478/pci-x board so I can run the g-70 with it. I think am3, mark 03 ,and 05 single card scores will be sick with that kit. Not so sure about 01'.
Any fellow euro overclockers willing to help me out? Pm me if you can please.
that is very very impressive
if only all dothans came with such great o/cing abilities
Most dothan's overclock very well IMO. 80% overclock on ln2 is possible if you've got the nerve and skillz. Thats sick :).Quote:

This pi run was on win2k and not OS' tweaked really. I installed win2k3 server after, and with some minor tuning, my sp1m time dropped .35 sec at stock clocks, compared to win2k....should be able to bust past 20sec now on ln2.

Should have some updated 3d later with an x800xtpe... been mid 90's and 80-90% humidity all damn week. Even with ac on, still warm in the house.
wow just insane! almost 45k and your gonna try for a better run and take out 45k once and for all! I know your 3k behind oppainter but your using a $400 x850xt vs. *two* 7800gtx costing well over $1000 combined! His single 7800gtx barely got over 40k if I remembered. Just wait till people start trying out crossfire and especially with *two* r520s
i just hope that dothan and yonah get some much needed support. if we could get them on an sli chipset they would be right back on top of the orb in all 3d benchmarks.
i have been very impressed with my $200 chip thusfar, and could recommend it to anyone. at 2.4ghz, its neck and neck with any production chip on the market. you could almost say that the oc on these chips dont start till after 2.4 :fact: , as i havent seen any of the 533fsb chips not make that.
at 2.4ghz and 1066fsb with my gen gpu, there isnt anything touching me at or below that clockspeed, aside from other dothans....
kingpin - tried extracting the drivers then putting some files from 4.12 in place of newer versions?
Kingpin what ram are you using now and what voltage? does not look like your pc3200. I'm asking cause i want to go dothan and those are nice timings.
Impressive 20's in PI. Hope to see 19 soon :woot:
Yeah Stevil, I messed around with replacing files in the inf's of both drivers, but no sucess. I guess it no longer matters because I'll be running the x800xtpe now with the 4.12's. I just hope this card can clock far, if it can't....x850 will still be better option. Here she is all modded up and ready to go with 4.12's installed.Quote:

Just need some more ln2 as I used up most of what i had trying to hit 3.7ghz yesterday. So damn close to 3700mhz now....These chips clock better the more I freeze and bench them I swear. Also, these aren't my most optimal timings on the ram, but still my best 1m time so far and still on win2k:
http://pic8.picturetrail.com/VOL256/.../102678739.jpg
Funny thing is, 3681-3694 gives around 20.2 sec every time, so when I hit 3700 or slightly above, it should give me a nice jump to 20.0 or lower I hope. Thats the way it's gone anyways.
Railer.....These are my buffalo single sided pc3200/2700(spd timings). THey are without a doubt the best set of 256x2 bh-5 I have ever used. Got them on ebay for 80 bucks.
What are u using on the bottom of the LN2 container for thermal paste? I heard a mix of AS5 and AS ceramique was the best. BTW, cant wait til u hit 19's. How does Kaz-n hit 19's @ pretty much the same clocks as u? Can your ram run 285 2-2-2-5?? Try 13*285, that will get u around 3700 (3705) and will hopefully get u into 19's.
Kingpin, are you using Chilly1's container or Jason's? Which do you like more? (looks like Reggie's unit in pic)
Also when you were clocking the X850, did you do VDDQ or just VDD? I assume you did OVP since you had such good vgpu. I'm thinkin when I mod mine, I will do what OPP mentioned and just put a blob of solder over r1596 to bring it to ground and remove OVP completely. Is that how you did OVP?
Btw GL with that X800XTPE, I really wanna see how she clocks with LN2 :)
Your putting on a great show Mr. Pin. :toast: Keep it up..
Crazy :D good work.
What was max. mhz on air for superpi?
Just regular silicone. I have alot of ceramique here, and I havent touched any of it after using it once. The cheapo white silicone stuff is the best for these temps IMO. My contact is so good that, the imprint almost has 0 silicone left in it.Quote:

Pi is like a religion to these guys, and I dont think for a second that I can beat them at their own game :P, I can only try though. On the flip side of that coin, I dont expect KAZ-n to be flying by me on any of the orbs anytime soon ;), though I'm sure not impossible. Right now I am a little more focused on 3d and getting the best clocks possible out of hardware for 3d.
What I need to do to increase my pi score effeciency, is spend some good quality time with win2k3 server.
For x850 I did vgpu, vdd, and ovp only. Ovp was done the right way for x850.Quote:

I am still using chillys containers on the cpu and gpu, however Jasons container was able to go colder due to more mass at the bottom. Evap temps were -190 to -191c with his and with chillys I can only get about -184.4 c loaded max. It has never gone lower, however I never put as much of a load on jasons as I am on chilly's either (dothans barely put out any heat at all, so it's prolly irrelevant.. It was hard to test dothan with J's container due to mounting/insulating issues, so I'm using chillys. It doesn't mean that chillys is better performing though, just easier to use for dothan. I was never able to run the two head to head. Both have pros and cons I'm sure. I still believe our solid ones will be best.
They will be unbelievable. Machined out of a solid copper 3x9 block, and very simliar to what the japs are using now. I expect evap temps will be the best with those and get me better clocks on the chip. At 3650mhz and up, if I loose track and evap temps drop to -182c, the chip locks up. Isn't that crazy? I'm betting those solid containers will get me some more mhz on this 770. I would like to see -192 to -193c evap temps Should have them soon.
I didnt do much with this chip on air. My 760 did around 2.8ghz, this one probably 2.9ish.Quote:

Thanks for the reply King :)
I figured the containers would both have good/bad sides. Jason's prolly little bit better temps, but harder to insulate than Reggie's. The Chilly1 design is very easy for setup :yepp:
Definately will be interested to see exactly how much better this super expensive uber-container will be :D
I gotta say I am dyin to get mine. :slobber: Really lookin to what you do w/ LN2 and it. BTW ygpm. ;)Quote:
