nice TCCD clock topboy...
any VX result? :)
anyway.... i think abit should add few more memory option (as mention by bigtoe)... to take full advantage of clocking TCCD chip... :stick:

System:
Aerocool 550W power supply
3 maxtor 300gb sata h/d's
3700+ San Diego
AN8 Fatal1ty SLI
XP-90 with 92mm Tornado
XFX 6800 GT PCi-X
Sound Blaster Audigy 2
OCZ PC3700 Rev3.0 Gold 2x512
I cannot get this thing stable even at 240x11 with 1.60V!! I have to be missing a setting.. Screen shots on the way :)
ram settings on auto, cpu set to 240 HTT, 4x HT, 1.60V, 2.80V for the ddr, 1.4 for DDR VT Ref.

You are running Memory clock higher speed that HTT speed :)
that is the limiting factor... Get sisoft sandra bench...
can you recommend me some timings for the memory to try with this ram? I didn't have this many options with my K8N Neo2. ;)
Start with 240 HTT,
4x HT,
1.60V for CPU,
2.80V for the ddr,
1.4 for DDR VT Ref
Ram Settings :
DDR Clock : DDR400 (1:1 sync)
CAS Latency : 2,5
row cycle time : 14
row refresh cycle time : 24
ras to cas delay : 4
ras to ras delay : 3
min ras active time : 7
ras precharge time : 3
write recovery time : 3
write to read delay : 2
read to write delay : 4
Dram command rate : 1T
burst length : 4beats
bank interleaving : enable
increase HTT with this setting see where you max out ... GL :toast:
Here we go :toast: I had figured me up some settings from your post on like page 7 so here are my results:
http://img130.echo.cx/img130/358/tweaked5ie.jpg
http://img123.echo.cx/img123/3685/tweaked22co.jpg
Needless to say if these settings are STABLE without exiting games and no blue screens, I am pretty happy :) That is a 400 pt increase over my K8N Neo 2 with same settings and slower mhz on the cpu!! I wonder if I swapped to Mushkin Redline if I could get 14k pts in 3dmark03 : :woot:
nice result...
push up that HTT there is still some headroom... :comp10:
ok tic tac which should i experiment with now since i buried the original fatality. an8 v2 or one of the sli boards. i have no plans on using sli however if they seem to be yielding better results ill get it.or is there plans for a v2 normal fatality?
I want the AN8 Ultra.
It should only cost around $130, maybe $140 max. It seems that it's not for sale quite yet, but it's almost identical to the AN8 SLi (Non-Fatal1ty version) which has been out for a week or so now...so I don't know what's taking so long. :(
Wow. Lot's of useful information! I'm thinking about getting the SLI instead of the plain Fatal1ty AN8 now. It looks like a better board for a lot of reasons.
Chew... i have no idea if there will be any V2 Fatal1ty AN8.. :-/

tictac, check your PM
I just wanna get this straight are these the only abit boards with 3.55vdimm?
Abit AN8 V2.0
Abit AN8 Ultra
Abit AN8 Fatal1ty SLI
Yeah, but that's just a pre-order, tictac. Not in stock. :(Quote:

so you reckon Abit AN8 Ultra is a 3.55vdimm board.........

And when those new revision boards come out...make sure we all RMA the faulty design boards back to DFI.
I think Oskar Wu should go back to Abit where they can better follow through with his designs. Better quality control and better testing methods. DFI is still too spotty
Just wondering as all you guys are heading for 300MHz what am i doing wrong cant get stable over this.......
Change the following and keep the rest of what you already have on the RAM.Quote:

Change from 1T to 2T...
Bank Interleave Disabled
Make sure your giving the ram 2.8 or 2.9Volts
then move upto 300 Fsb and change multi to 10x
If that works then move the 2T back to 1....and test.
Then try bank interleave on and test
OK cheers whats Tcl can't find it ????????
ok sorry found it...tried that and keep getting message at boot up ......"Warning your in safe mode your bios will be rest f1 to continue del to enter bios " cant seem to get the magic 300MHz
They are already on the 4th revision of the board!!!!! :slapass:Quote:
