I'm gonna need more than that, got a new motherboard in as well (to replace the VNF4 Ultra). So I'm in the process of reinstallation. Will post when I get around to it...

On a side not, these chips might start looking like crap once the Venice comes out from the looks of that one guy's posts!

i somehow doubt ill be able to pick up a 3800 venice anywhere near the price i paid for this chip :).... being my first a64 rig... ill be more than happy with 2.6 - 2.8 ..... and more to the point,,,,,, i dont have to wait untill the shops get any stock :)
not to mention the fact that anyone buying these chips is probably lucky enough to get a cpu tat performs more like a cpu 4x the price...,,, hardly looking like crap,,, at least not to me anyways :))

we're not sure but some people think it's clawhammers with bad 1MB caches that were cut down to 512k and sold as 3500s..

Let us know how it clocks veedo, can't wait to hear. If you don't mind, post max 'stable' oc on stock volts, and then max stable with w/e in ur cooling limits. Mine should be here tommarrow, but my motherboard is being rma'd, so I won't beable to play with it till next week sometime :( It's from zzf though, so I'm hopinh to get an 050x

CAA2C 0506 BPMW 'ZZF'

227x11 2497mhz 1.5v stock VID Stock cooler, basically the same temps as stock speed maybe 1c higher average. This is not the max, I'm still climbing but I thought this would a good speed/voltage to report.

This is under Prime95 small FFT's.

Could some of you fine gentlemen link me to some 'proper' CPU stress testing programs.

I use Prime95 and 3dmark2001SE for all of my testing. Running loops of both at the same time for a week.

What would be something good for testing clocks quick?

SuperPi 2m while running 1 or 2 loops of lobby high, if it passes both, then it's 'somewhat' stable, definatly not longterm but enough for me to call it stable.

From Dabs in the UK.....

Currently at 9X305 (2745) at 1.53v, air cooled ; 1:1 with GSkill LE....still testing/burning in with Prime95. 1.56v for 3d stable.
Great cpu's for the time being......:)

9.75% tax here from Newegg. :(

ZZF is worth the tax, get one before they are gone. Its only $22-23 for you.

This CPU is worth the extra $ so far.

Currently at 2541 with the stock HSF at stock volts. Still testing, still climbing.

Edit:
Looks like 2528 is my max stock volts stock HSF. Not too bad. Prime95 only small FFTs.

This is stock volts max. Temp at stock was 52-54c. Temp at 2527ish is 53-54c, with the stock cooler. Its like 40c idle or something.

I've not let it idle long since its been installed.

There is alot of voltage left to play with. I have an XP90 and XP120 here that will go on it.

I wanted to see what the stock performance was first, so I know how good it is before i put great air cooling on it.

Yah, I got 2.5 here with stock retail HSF and at 1.5 V (actually 1.55 V, but I'm undervolting about 0.05 with my new DFI nF4 Ultra-D).

BTW- I'm a newbie to the Ultra-D and when I overclock too much I get a BSOD. Prime doesn't even get a chance to fail, the computer just gives a BSOD. Is this normal? I never had this happen on my Winchester 3200+ with VNF4 Ultra. Also, anything I should particularly be aware of with overclocking on the DFI Ultra-D?

Glad to see there are 2 3000mhz screens along with at least being 1m stable. But most impressive, is only 1.6v, must be some headroom in there. Wonder what they'll do with 1.8v+ These are looking great :) Can't wait to get mine, hope it will do at least 3ghz.

It maxed out at 2.65 with the amount of volts i could give it (1.7). Sooo, I ordered one from zippy (instead of newegg..) and now I'm off to ebay it :rolleyes:
