zA.gosu, don't call someone a newbie please. Seems a tad over the top.
The cascades hit (correct me if i'm wrong) around -100.
Some insane clocks there
I have been up to 1.95v on the cpu
<--- temp in avatar

I agree that it would be nice to see a review site go a bit farther with overclocking sections in their reviews...even our beloved [H] barely touches most mobos capabilities, and then will usually have some stupid comment about how they think it didnt OC any higher, when some of us know straight out.
Oh well, that's my ramble for today...truth and fact of the matter is though, is that most review sites show more real world overclocking results then you'll find at XS. Things are taken farther here, but the extents/lengths that are gone to for these results are less realistic (oftentimes) then what the reviewers are showing us.
Nice work there Fugger.
Think you can pull CPU-Z shot at 7G?
Good luck :toast:
Still a long way to go :DQuote:
Memtesting well into 6.6Ghz
here's a Laptop w/ 2GB of RAM w/ a64 @26GHz:

(notice the bandwidth :D)
Well as my 1st "Newbie" post
Let me 1st congratulate FUGGER on an insane OC! [H] is indeed the reason I made my way here to read about this 7.2 monster!
2nd let me say that after reading a few threads and having thought about attempting a watercooling setup for a bit now. I can honestly say that Ive found a place that is going to help me not only achieve this but is going to show me how to get the most from it as well. My goal is not to achieve massive OCs although OCing it is also what its about. I am more interested in achieving a quieter system.
So once again FUGGER congrats on an awesome OC!
And thanks to all for a way cool Forum!
 macci, nice laptop there... maybe that's a prototype of the new venice core in the mobile field ;)
Should Intel be able to cope with that?? :D
I want to see review sites OC the MB with a watercooling setup so people will know if there are any roadblocks. For example, the H gave the Asus A8N a must have award, yet many are stuck at 245mz. I don't expect them to use vapo or anything extreme, but water would be nice to see if the board can go above 250mz with the chip at the default multiplier.Quote:

Like the bandwidth?
;)
:D
Macci I think I can. Getting back to 6Ghz consistantly, even with bad contact is not a problem.
Monsoon, Welcome to XtremeSystems.
For the record, I memtest the hell out of the system to find the best bandwidth and ensure stability of memory before I fire up the hard drive. Memtest is one of the best apps available to us.
lol thats ironic, because from what i understand hes sub -100.....newbie...lol couldnt help it ;)Quote:
