did you see any improvement in fsb? over here people claim to be able to run past fsb200 with that gmdc06 bios. it's said to be superpi 1m stable, but nothing else - prime crashes after a few mins.
once i get a hold of screenies (if they are for real), i'll post them here - so far it's just word of mouth and i don't really trust this (though i know the "source") ;)

Just some small updates for SuperPi 1M times (original english version) w/ AOpen board, 1.7G and 2x512MB BH5 at 2-2-2-5-64us

useing default multi of 17:
31sec at 2419MHz/237RAM

30sec at 2479MHz/243RAM

The AOpen board seems to take OCing w/ extra devices (audigy, sata controller, sata drives etc) a lot better than the DFI and so far I haven't had any need to increase AGP/PCI bus speed when past 133. Seems that the AGP/PCI lock at 66/33 is indeed working even thou SetFSB is showing AGP/PCI speeds of nearly 100/50 at 146FSB. My SATA drives would never run such high PCI clock - also very unlikely that X800 runs much past 80MHz AGP.

I have been watching this scene for some time now. I'm bout ready to plunge with a full setup (Dothan 2.1 + mobo + best mem for the job). These pieces will go into a backpack machine I'm building. There will be one of those slick Samsung 12ms LCD's stuck in there too :D . I was nearly ready to go ahead and order when I ran across this little beauty!

holy cow.... 3x 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet

Doesn't look too bad...wonder how well it will overclock. It could be nice, but i'm not a big fan of mini-ITX for some reason...but I like those SFF systems..anyway..yeah it looks nice...3x ethernet ports :eek: that thing must be made for some type of ultra quiet server system...

It most likely has no overclocking options. Mini-ITX boards rarely do.

Commell has manufactured a mini-ITX P-M board for quite a while. They've just been super expensive.

I was worried that would happen. But hey its nice to confirm...o'well. wonder when an ATX P-M board will show up..

Well, even if you are not allowed to overclock in the bios on that mini ITX, you should be able to use one of the X86-secret utilities floating around that manipulate the clock and multiplier stuff.

you'd be surprised to find how many people still game at that resolution (including me offcourse :D)

Thats the highest FPS I've ever seen with my aircooled rigs (that includes 3.4EE, Winny 3500, FX55) - and its the first boot up w/ this CPU ;)

edit: couldn't help myself and ran it again w/ 19x multi and higher RAM speed:
110.5FPS

makes me want one sooooooooo bad :( but it cost alot.

We really need some dual channel action for those CPUs.
They could make it by simply taking a dual core dothan and strap one mem channel to each core, and then some serious bus speeds :cool:

charlie, these shops are supposed to have those 765 2.1g dothans (german linky btw). btw "lieferbar" or "ab lager" means in stock... anyway.. i wonder why these would be available here and not in the us? but 580€ is like $771.. yeez. that's an fx55.
i could kick myself in the *** for dozing off when i could get a bunch of dothans 735 (1.7g) for 150€ ($200) a piece... doh doh doh.

hm another thing i heard. people are experiencing problems with xp sp2 and the aopen board.. no matter what you set for vcore, multi, ... in bios is lost on boot. once you are in windows everything is back to default. sp2 is said to have a new intel processor driver included that you need to uninstall and replace with the default driver to be able to use changed biossettings in windows.

I checked preistrend and geishalz but the 1.7 dothan's all come at +220€

Here in Japan, Pen M 765 had been available from end of October!

Look at CrystalCPUID...there is no name 765, but this is 2.1GHz processor :)
