my buddy got two of them that are clocked 700mhz on the core. after the flash they're doing close to 1300.

yup, my ZZF 700 hit 1055 (rivatuner max) before flashing and went through 3dmark05 with only one polygon distortion, im sure my card will rock with a flash :banana:
EDIT: what driver is everyone using? im new to nvidia so i was wondering whats the best driver out now? im using nvidia's latest drivers
1055 is definatly better than mine, but I doubt you'll beable to clock the memory anymore, but maybe. I don't think the bios affects the memory.
I'm running the 66.81 beta drivers

right now im playing CS:source at 1280x1024 max eveythign with 6xAA and 16xAF with gfx card at 360/1050 and getting aorund 80 fps on aztec :D :D :D so happy

u play cs a lot? im pretty good....used to be cal-im for a bit. im so good with the awp...it actually takes skill to use...contrary to what many people think. especially when like 4 people rush you it takes skill. i love being up at a in dust 2 or down by the ramp at ct spawn watching long a when i have an awp. the terrorists jump in the pit and i shoot them mid air :). yesterday i shot a guy in the head doing it lol
Awp takes skill to move and use. Camping with awp takes no skill. Even at close range all you need is an accurate mouse. I like to use it like a shotty. There is no better way to get called a hacker then learn to use awp on the move.
ive been playing ut2k4 mostly...but its getting a bit boring. the only really good modes to play on are onslaught (basically build power nodes and try to kill the other teams power CORE) and team deathmatch. i dont really like capture the flag cause theres this thing called a translocator and you can basically teleport around the map which gets extremely annoying. then there are a bunch of other modes that are frustrating...like trying to get this ball in their base lol
i wish hl2 was coming out this tuesday though cause i have off of school....is it released at 12am?
I bought UT2k4 but never play it because none of my buds own it (same with Doom3). I remember UT was fun with a bunch of guys just running around and slaughtering everything (I'll never understand why people play deathmatch on games like COD:UO that clearly were meant to be played as a team game) and built in bots were always great to have. I'm kind of waiting until CS:Source drops in price, because we aren't paying what it costs now, don't really care much about HL:2, and I really liked CS. (It was what we always played right up until COD came out.)
ok, well back to the 6800. evga sent me the bios update and like I thought ti didn't work, .. well it worked, but I artifact like crazy still. So hopefully I can rma this. I'm thinking maybe they'll send me a gt if they don't ahve any le's there. How do gt's clock? Think I'll beable to get around 450 out of the core?
anything i should know before i goto flash this?
i cant see how to back it up? i just do it in windows right? with the floppy image
gt's tend to hit between 390 and 440 on core.
when i try backing it up, by typing a:\wfflash.exe -s backup.rom , it says format of -s is wrong????????
edit: yea whatever i just put nvflash on there and backed it up. it worked fine...flashed to 6800 GT 1.4v...ill give you results in a bit
I need to order 2 more cards. all 4 of mine were 325/1100's, I ordered 2 at the egg and 2 @ zipzoom. Now im gunshy!!! ZipZoom advertises 1100 so you should get that. And i cannot see them refusing an rma, because there is a big difference between 700 and 1100. Has anyone been refused an RMA on here over this??

I used a self booting CDROM instead of the floppy version and it booted and flashed fine. Way easier than dos or winflash. Boots to the cd then the menu comes up.
Upon reboot my computer searched for a new device and it installed as a 6800 ultra.
The vid card i kept for myself wont fit my sig rig, The DFI, NF3 chip gets in the way with the thermalright NB cooler i have on it. I currently have it in my dual xeon rig. 2.8 "MO"s @ 3.6 ghz on air. It's my folding monster. 4 instances folding away.
I got a big jump in my 03 and 05 3dmark scores, but i score less than the 9800 pro i have in it, is anyone else getting not very impressive 3dmark 01 scores. Or why im not getting good 01 numbers??
Thank you whoever wrote the bios. Im stable @ 475x1240 after flashing. 480 or 1250 it wont pass the test button in the "coolbits' overclocking.
That simple flash was a hell of a boost!!!
I just ran through 2001 without an artifact, im running 2003 now stable @ that speed, it's half way through and still no artifacts.
it's done and no artifacting. I cant believe it either!!! Im sure im going to have to post a movie that a stock cooled card is running stable @ this speed. what's the usual overclock for 6800 ultra's??
I talked to someone at evga and he said 'he'd talk to the engineers and he'd give me a call back sometime today/tonight (it's now 6est)' so hopefully they'll come through. They sound like a pretty good company and they seem to take care of their customers.
My problem is my memory will artifact anythng over about 850mhz give or take for anyone that hasn't payed attention
