Canadians first....(my wife is from Canada).........
YAY! :D
My igloo creates cool ambient temps! :D:D
Whew, I just read all 10 pages :D
This sounds awsome, I'd be down for a few sticks send to me here in CANADA :p:
Even if it doesnt work out, it sounds like fun anyways. Why wouldnt you want to twink around with a bunch of bh5/bh6 chips? Especialy since hipro5 you sound like your damn good at electronics and could make some functional ram to the least. Who else has made there own ddr sticks? :)
Can't wait to see how it turns out :toast:
Man... this is great news, just when i needed 2x 512MB sticks as Doom3 is killing me, i need more RAM :D
Let's just hope this really comes true and we'll have Hipro5 value rams LOL
'hipro bh-stix' :D
count me in for 2x512, possibly more :)
What better 3d to put my first post on this beautiful forum? this one, of course...;)
I start to read this forum 1 year ago and now I decided to register here.
Yours it's an amazing idea and I hope that all go to right way, I believe that you can do this (who says IC7 mods?:D)
I also hope that 2*512 sticks come to me, in Italy, it's possible?
Regards.
W3ll i must say im impressed with 3very1,s attitude and encouragement on here.
And tbh im guessin no1 has offered u any decent pcb,s to test with so i have a 512mb stick of bh5 here that doesnt clock too well
and i would be willing to send u it for testing ur first stick or whatever. all i ask is if it works u send it back and if it doesnt just chuck it in the bin lol. who knows u may even be able to get an uber 256 stick of the bh5 thats already on it lol.
if u want to use it my email is bouncin@btopenworld.com
power to the overclockers.
oh and btw i really dont mind if u bork it so dont worry bout that
im just interested to see if it can be done and from what ive seen ur the guy who might be able too.
lol at my 2 posts but dont worry ive been registered for a while but havent been any use untill today lol
any progress?
The company my father works, produce empty PCBs for Micron! If you need PCBs hipro5, i could ask if I can have more! I got 2 DDR-PCBs some time ago, but I couldnt test it cause I havent a machine for soldering the snall SMDs on it! :(
Where can I buy such tools? :D
I'm an electrician and have tuned some Ram with extra Caps, Resistors and Voltage Supplies yet, but I failed making my own PCB, because of the multilayer technic and SMD. I can only produce Double Layer PCBs.
And of course, I'M IN!!
2x 256MB :toast:
ultron5
That's nice of you.. I bet hipro would really like those PCB's.
Portugal as well :slobber: :slobber: :DQuote:

while these guys are drooling for your RAM, may I chrissen the first stick via the russian way??? with clean methyl ;)
I like the sig, is there going to be a whole series of xtremesystems comics?
2x512mb for switzerland
The problem would be that micron/crucial memory IC's are different from the winbond ones he will be using. If your dad can make ones that properly work with the winbond IC's then :toast:Quote:

but aren't all DDR chips designed with same basic characteristics? like what resistors have to go where and such ...
No. Pin counts on the chip may differ and the chips can actually physically differ in size and/or mount type (PGA or TSOP).
Might be interested if price is good.
I think Hipro needs a little rest, sounds like hes got the next 12 months of his life planned...Good luck for the future, I hope it works out well for you ;)
Tried contacting hipro about the DDRs, no reply.
How much are they anyway?
HIPRO is on vacation for a few daysQuote:
