advmoddev - could it have to do with a "flash on post" bug that happened to kill a lot of early nForce 2 boards and may be linked to vcore or vdimm?
My VDIMM is now running 3.55v when set to 3.3v for some reason.. after a no post situation that was similar to dead bios symptoms..
I just wanted to post that I'm having a lot of fun with AdvModDev's 5/05-31T6 bios. I'm on an unmodded board with two sticks of mushkin (double sided so cpc off). Ram timings 2-2-2-2-11-9-12-1-3-3-3-3-3-4-e-e-f-d
Thanks AdvModDev, this bios has really helped me (although I just use clockgen). Hopefully with better cooling I can really push it :)
Edit: forgot to mention it's just my everday xp sp1 install with norton running. Also, when running unstable fsb I'm getting strange noises out my speakers when stressing the memory (onboard sound). It's sort of cool because I know when it's in danger of BSOD'ing... Anyone else?

I found that the Oscar Wu bios 4/29 and 5/05 did not overclock aswell as all others. I have this bios too but I wouldn't host it because then all the noobs blame AdModDev for bios corruption and he wouldn't like it.:eek:Quote:

I concur, the 505 stuff does limit max FSB I can reach, vs original 131. The 505-121-T6 seems solid, at 230Mhz no lan/sound dropouts. On 131, though it would do 240+Mhz on these rams the sound(2spkr or 5.1setup) and/or lan(either port) would go out over 235Mhz.
Ill settle for 11x230Mhz 11,2,2,2,cas2.0,1,3,3,3,3,3,4,e,e,f,dis,6x(15) @ 1.85Vcore 3.2Vdimm 1.7Vdd with complete stability and reliability with 2x 512M BH5 (not burn'd in much), on my brother's LPuB. Ill go for the gusto on my Infinity starting next week.
I guess I still need to find the 505-T6-121/131/C18 version for the Infinity.
You can use the LP B bioses I sent you for the Infinity too... just disable the GB Lan... and free LP logo :DQuote:

Is this showing the status of CPC, or is the 2CMD a different setting entirely, and are there any applications that will let me view the CPC status, or change this 2CMD setting?
I'm running with double sided BH-5, so running with CPC is a bit of a battle for me, but as I'm only running an FSB of 200MHz at the moment, I'd rather squeeze as much performance out of this board as possible. :D
CPC on or off... sandra does not read it correctly. It doesn't recognize these timings on nforce2 chipsets. So don't worry. Do a 3dmark with cpc on and then compare with it switched off. You'll definately notice the difference then :)Quote:

anychance someone could send me the 505 T6 1/21 and 505 T6 1/31 bioses? I have a saviour, so no worries about curropting. Can't stand the lan/sound drop at 250fsb w/ apic on :(

TicTac seems to have made some headway on NF7-S cpc as well, Im testing his latest and about 20Mhz higher so far on these BH5's.

I am up for trying the 505 t6 131 and 505 t6 121 if someone can send them my way. Getting bad lan dropping now at high fsb on 505-c18. Yes I know the risks, have my wifes 8rda that hotflashes nicely next to mine.
