Sig will be updated in a few moments, I'm at 2.35 (10x235) atm.
But thanks for the info Ryan. I really want this EB, but I've heard such bad things about 512 sticks in nForce 3's that I wanted to be sure. :)

I have heard nothing but praise about EB in Athlon 64 setups
though Nforce 2 users seem to be having a lot of problems with any 512s they get at all
I have done 250 FSB on the Chaintech Andy , but not had much time to play with it
Coolio, I'll shoot for 260fsb!!
What happened to this? :stick:Quote:

No fanboy adulation and no undo bias. I'll give it a run on 3 platforms, NF2, NF3 and i875P vs. BH-5, BH-6 and some relabeled Winbond.
Now look at the price, at $214USD, it's WAY more expensive than Mushkin L2 Black on eBay, and twice as expensive as KHX3000. SO, WOWWWW!! am I expecting great things. If not, hopefully I won't LOSE TOO MUCH MONEY pawning them off on eBay...
C ya next week.

Alot of us over at EOCF are waiting for 3DMark comparisons on the OCZ EB to BH-5. That's what would sell it, for me.
...and yes, I have seen the Anandtech article.
I'm going to do some testing with memtest86 using settings which fail prime95 within 5 seconds. I'm starting to think the DFI boards have odd problems with this ram at the moment.......perhaps a bios will come out thats specifically tuned for EB ram, i dunno.
Anyone tried the 512MB sticks in the NF7 board?
Really in the marked of getting something new, and getting rid of my CH5.
This EB stuff looks really sweet :slobber:
Yes, i have done much testing. The NF7-S 2.0 is the one I have. The 2 x 512 EB kit works excellent. As far as the FSB goes I have not had luck with my board above about 215fsb. There is just not enough chipset and RAM voltage available. The same RAM runs 237fsb stable on a DFI NFII U Infinity with the shipping bios.
That said, the EB is highly compatible and will work great as long as you remember you will be FSB limited. Some boards may do better than mine.
Ok, sweet. It maxes out at just below 235FSB now, and I believe that's the CH5's fault (@2-2-3-11 3.1v)
My board is of the "old" 2.0's, which overclocks pretty good, so I reckon I can get a litte higher with the EB's
A dual kit of 2x512MB PC3500 EB it is then :D
nope, same symptoms on a shuttle an50r.Quote:

passed the basic memtest+ tests for like 15mins (test 5,6,7) and failed a single instance prime within 1 minute?
thats strange. it's reproducable, goldlocke had the same probs on his shuttle. brought 'em back to the shop
besides, the memory gets hot as hell, u _need_ a fan
I've got a fan on them, if you don't use a fan at 3.0 you'll burn your fingers off if you touch them! I'm now stable at 245x10.5 again with the 4/29 bios with CPC on. Still getting the same 3dmark score so i guess CPC was enabled on the old bios too. Strange how it wasn't stable at 200 but was stable at 245 with the same settings.
I was running 230 2.5-2-2-11 earlier and got 19200 3dmark points. With a 50 mhz CPU clock speed increase at 245x10.5 3-3-2-11 i'm only getting 19400. cas 3 kills your scores.
try 3-2-2 the trcd of 2 more tha makes up for the cl 3
I posted a comparo before on my P4 machine and with both systems at 235 with a 3.2C the OCZ pc3200 EB scored 6 points better than Mushkin B L2. Maybe today or tommorow I'll run the same comparo on my A64 rig. Remember though OCZ never said EB was better than bh-5, but a good alternative. It has proved that time and time again.Quote:

what timings did you use for that comparison? And don't worry, I got EB as a freebie and i'm not mocking it, its damn impressive stuff!Quote:

EB was 2.5-2-2-6
Mushkin L2 2-2-2-6
Lik, you've had no problems with your gig of Mushkin lvl 2 on that gigabyte? I've had two K8NNXP's that just hate 'em. First wouldn't rut 'em past 200, and my new one starts to get errors around 205. I think i'm gonna break down and buy some 3700 EB's.
stasiu, I had major problems with the mushkins with the bios F9 which was on the board when I got it. Actually it was all my bh-5 that had problems. Only ram that would run was my OCZ EB!! After I changed to bios F12 I was able to clock my bh-5 up. Got my EB to 261 2.5-2-2-11 and mushkin to 267 2-2-2-6 at 3.3v I know OCZ usually will go high with lower volts, but my vdimm is modded to my +3.3v so I can't lower it to try.
are any of you guys running EB at 3.2v 24/7? Obviously with a fan blowing on them.
who is the difference with 3-2-2 and 2,5-2-2 at ocz eb in unbuffering bandwidth?
I have my mushkin lv 2 at 3.2v with a 120mm fan on them @7v. It sits nicely ontop of the tube connecting my nb and cpu waterblocks.
Thanks LikWid, i had up to 3.4 volts on my mushkin and no luck on my previous board, but for the life of me i can't remember that bios. My new board does have the F12 and wether or not the first did, the new one is doing better than the previous. With both mushkin sticks in i can atleast get 205 prime stable @ 2.8 volts, and up to 214 or so max. I haven't had time to volt mod it yet, mabye i'll do it this weekend. I have my fingers crossed. If that doesn't help, then i guess i'll try the EB's.
no problem. if anything you know the EB will give you no trouble!Quote:

hey neologan, I have had my EB running with 3.3V for a couple weeks now.
Here's a buffered Sandra screenie at 265fsb with 1 512mb stick PC3700 EB. 2.9v was used. Single channel of course.
Edit: Stable for 850 passes in test 5 of memetest86+
AndyOCZ do you just go around posting on forums as your job? If so can I apply:D
Well, it's not in my job description, but..................
I just like to show what is realistically possible with the products.
