Running 1.A BIOS, working good so far:up: It still raises voltage on load, however It does not drop so low on idle, It's stays very close to what you have it set to in the BIOS on idle.

hi, new here...want to ask.
somehow i felt that some setting (volt or subtimings) changed when i open the MSI control center.but not so sure.. im on latest bios
eg
after boot, all set in bios = memtest stable
then open MSI control center (without reboot or change any setting), memtest again without changing anything = memtest fail..
anyone can confirm this? thanks in advance
using software to oc is a very good practice to me..
it wont waste my time to go into bios if i want to change tiny settings..that is why im asking to verified things..thanks
plus u dont have any other option if going xtreme (except if using 3rd party ocer like irog, msi gamepad etc )
I just got this board today. With a 2500K. What bios do you guys suggest? Just looking to get a 4.5ghz clock. Maybe someone has a good setup for 4.5ghz for the 2500K? Mem is Corsair XMS3 1600mhz 2x2 gb 7-8-7-20 + a saphire hd 6850. This is for my son so it's not going to be stressed to much.
New bios, 1.B

What about the OC GENIE on this board? Go or no go?
Well my ram is having some known issues the RIPJAWS X. was getting all kind of hinky stuff going on bsod, freezes, and set
the timing to 2T and everything went away...:shakes:
The thing that sucks about bios updates it kills all your OC profiles......currently running the 1.11 B2...
how the 1.b bios? any good?
Hi guys!
First of all, I'm a little n00b at OC :)
Ok, so I have an i5 2500K in a P67A-GD65, and i'm trying to make OC. And I did it. However, I want to use the lowest voltage possible, and I have some issues about this... In the BIOS (it's the latest, the 1.B, I guess...), the vCore value that I put is 1.26. However, when I run LinX, the vCore increases to 1.3v.... Why?
In other forum, I was told that was a vDroop problem, because it was low vDroop. But the only options in that field are "Auto" and "Low VDroop"..

The cpu, running Linx

I know that 1.3V isn't dangerous for the cpu, but lower voltage => lower temps => One guy happy :)
Thank yoy for your help :welcome:
I have a little problem with this mobo. If i leave the system off for a few hours, or over night. It always starts up by going to the bios??
What could be causing this?
Quite normal behaviour for this board. Either MSI doesn't know how to fix it or they don't care but pretty much all boards are overvolting vcore by 0.05+v on load. You'll have to keep that in mind when setting things in EFI.
The VDroop Control option in EFI is not working btw. It's irrelevant what you set there, resulting voltage will be the same.
What's the latest MSI Control Center available? I have 2.1.008...
Just got my B3 board installed. Now just have to arrange for the B2 to be collected. Will bench sometime soon to see if I can eek any more out of this board...
Need advices.
MSI P67A-GD65 vs ASUS P8P67 PRO. Which is better for OC with 2500k?
Thanks :D
to update the bios/uefi thingy is just put the folder on a usb-drive plug it in
reboot and select the mflash or ezflash thingy(whatever its called) right?
Damn, that sucks. My P55 GD65 does the same thing. I had hoped that they had fixed this. One other thing that I noticed about my P55 is that vdroop (LLC is disabled) is also massive compared to my gigabyte board. Is that also the case with the P67? This is one thing that has definitely limited my clocks on this board. Other than that it has been good to me. I'm actually considering the p67-gd67.
Thanks
