Crysis was one of the best looking games ever out there and it was good playing it with a G80 knowing it had that extra bit of reassurance that it was extensively used in the development of Crysis, I never had any driver problems, and even though it could have been optimized a lot more, especially on dual GPU setups, it was still quite good performance wise. I, as a gamer do not mind at all that a company wants to have their card run as best as they can in a game. It's up to the other company to do the same, if they want to. AMD has always been playing catchup in that regard. The proof that people still cry foul play whenever they see a TWIMTBP logo is just sheer ignorance to what the program exactly is about.

Very true. I've just started playing Crysis again and I'm still amazed at the detail in the game. At first I did not really think that much of the game, but playing it now in all its glory it is really amazing detail. I hope this will continue in Crysis 2 with an improved story, or shall I say at least a story to it.Quote:

One of the things I really liked about Crysis was, aside from the graphics, the super tight controls (precise mouselook) even at very low FPS. I have somehow gotten used to crappy console ports running at 200 FPS but not being able to provide decent mouselook (Bioshock, go burn in hell.) so whenever I play Crysis it's a relief.

And just so i can enjoy this "tessellation" Nvidia is spending 2mil! of their money mind you and promoting one of the last true PC developers. If you realy care about PC gaming company like Nvidia should be praised.
See a rational person will just buy whatever will bring better value for their needs. By buying Nvidia card i have a secure feeling that probably for most of the games i will play there will be good support in terms of features and drivers. I really don't care how they survive in business. As long as they not drinking baby's blood its fine with me.
Yup, kudos to them for the controls and char/weapon animations of the player. That is what made the game stand out imo. And cant say any other game have managed to do it as good. Sound was also good.Quote:

If you want to enjoy eyefinity, you have to buy ATI (although nvidia is introducing a competitor, it still needs SLI). 3D, PhysX, nvidia exclsives. These are not central to the DX11 library so as extras is it ok. Levering the library to give your architecture advantages starts going into the grey area.
