Congrats to the winners from other countries
Little change in the overclocker representing India. :)
"As Apollyon has some personal commitments in June and is also of opinion that Tool should go, so Toolius will go to Jakarta, Indonesia representing India. Both of them will get X58A-UD7 and Amey aka "Darklord" will get P55A-UD7 for finishing third."
All the best to Toolius!!
OK...I was correct :(
Congrats Gyrock :toast: Good luck in Jakarta!

You better move back to the US, Miah ... the competition is strong in Japan!
oh nice get to meet Gyrock
well done Mia :) i'm sure it wasnt easy to do that
Australian GO OC is over and here are the results
FIRST ROUND 32M WPrime
- youngpro (James); 4 points (3.322s)
- booj (Chris); 3 points (3.571s)
- Uncle Fester (Jon); 2 points (4.578s)
- bob(nz) (Peter); 1 points (4.721s)
I had two OSes without GFX drivers.........seems that James and booj realised W7 might be a bit quicker heh......incidentally two of them had much worse CBs compared to the other two competitors
SECOND ROUND 32M SuperPi
- bob(nz) (Peter); 4 points (6m 38.015s)
- Uncle Fester (Jon); 3 points (6m 41.719s)
- youngpro (James); 2 points (6m 43.730s)
- booj (Chris); 1 points (7m 21.844s)
CB was king in this round......youngpro and booj were limited with temps....top two guys were 500Mhz away from youngpro but efficiency was lacking compared to James as you can see with those results......
TOTAL POINTS AFTER BOTH ROUNDS (tied scores will be resolved with faster 32M SuperPi score getting a higher placing as per rules):
- youngpro (James); 6 points

.- bob(nz) (Peter); 5 points (faster 32M SuperPi score)

.- Uncle Fester (Jon); 5 points
http://img266.imageshack.us/img266/7494/43298165.th.jpg
.- booj (Chris); 4 points
James (youngpro) is unable to travel to Jakarta as he cannot get leave from his new work so it will be Peter(bob(nz) and Jono(Uncle Fester) who travel to the regionals. In case you are wondering why two competitors it is due to Australia winning last year's regional final in Thailand. Top 3 teams from Pan Asia region are sending two contestants to regionals.
Some photos from the event....just putting together a video as well :)

Congrats bob (nz), Uncle Fester & Gyrock
Nice pics dinos, you shoulda taken those boards home ;)
Congrats to the winners and I am SO bummed that I could not make this trip. Mebbe next time.
Instead I stayed home and cut my grass during which the connecting rod on my lawn mower broke and came thru the side of the block
No more Tecumseh engines for me. Briggs n Stratton all the way:up:
I think on the right you can have some fats :D
terrific ! :D
Will they be in Jakarta ? :D:D
Hi all:)
Thanks Mia-san:)
I think I am a bit luckier this time;)
Hi massman-san:)
Actually, there are lots of OCers who are much faster than me in Japan:yepp:
Oh! dinos-san:)
It would be nice to see you in Jakarta:up:
G H Z-san, thanks a lot:up:
About CAL930-san's comment;
I don't think our captain CAL930 means the nationality of OCers competing GOOC-qualify in Japan but he cares about the nationality of the team they belong to;)
Anyway, I'm looking forward to seeing lots of OCers from Pan Asia area in Jakarta:up:
And nice "pots" too:D
Dino, handpicked babes? I see someone has binned 50+ babes for the event
Hahaha, next time :yepp:
[/QUOTE]
Well done guys
That sucks James can't make it, but cool to see Peter and Jon move on to the next round.
So two drives didn't have drivers on them, or did they un-install them ?
(in other words... who's the noob, you or them :p:)
And yes, very nice boards!
Congrats Gyrock on your win in Japan.
The scores are so close for both you and Miah.
Was it only the two of you that took part ?
i had two OSes (XP SP3 and W7) and didnt put drivers on purpose. I had drivers in a separate folder as well as a few other tools which i wanted them to figure out if they should use or not.
the plan regarding drivers backfired lol as i didnt have those GT240 cards at home ...they didnt work in XP at least so not sure if W7 worked or if W7 was quicker.
There was a bit of a funny occurance with air cooled guys (second competition) and wprime. They complained to me that it was running really slow and then i saw one of the guys running on single core only heheh...i told them how to run it but i won't tell them next time...that was gold....i think SniperOz was the one that came most prepared as he knew how to tweak SuperPi and beat the frontrunner with lower clocks but better tweaks. He also knew he had to instruct wprime to bench all cores.....I'm not surprised he won but it was a close race due to some killer clocks Snappy1 was getting wit this i5 670 (almost 5.1GHz stable 32M SuperPi on air eeeeek)
Deanzo...I think it was only the two of us that competed in Japan. I think Fedyama has a much stronger chip, but he only benched it on eVGA so he did not qualify. I only checked HWBot....Gigabyte also accepted direct submissions which I do not have view of.
Looks like a nice event, well done
Almost seems like there might have been a scarcity of beer though :p:
Congrats James and Gyrock-san
james you seems younger than last year, are you benjamin? (The Curious Case of Benjamin Button ) :D
thanks for the pics Dino, hope to meet you this year
haha thanks guys, hopefully next year when i am more established in the new job i can make an appearance... this year the VERY capable jono (uncle fester) and peter (bobnz) will be representing australia..
are you going to be there deanzo?
i just been hitting the gym a bit hiwa, so im not so fat anymore haha ;)
Well done guys !
