Does it run hot?
My batch is 3951A690 and it loads around 70C on water. 1.25v @ 3.68.
EDIT: Thought I'd mention that I only have a 2.120 rad in a single loop with my 5970 that only loads @ 48C.

Been testing like crazy, and I am very happy with this chip after reseating my cpu waterblock... this is the best I can do so far with it stable and my hottest core only getting to 67*C (my 5870 never gets over 32*C), but I have a pretty wild watercooling setup:

Hmmm I guess I should add a dedicated 3.120 just for my cpu and leave the 2.120 just for the gpu.
The IMC seems very strong for only -5c
VTT @ 1.45v
VDIMM @ 1.58v
CPU @ -5c

-5 degress and only 4059mhz :D bad cpu dude !!! rofl
ok well my 3001A126 isn't looking that great, or maybe I just unskilled haha.
4200mhz even at 1.375v still not stable. I really want to get to 4200mhz so we'll see how high i need to go. cores staying under 70C with water.
Is this good?
3.7ghz @ 1.15 vcore
Just picked up. A 930 batch 3001A125. Anyone have experience if this is a good batch? I read somewhere that the 3001A124 is a good oc batch but the 3001A126 was not a good oc'er. If it's not a good batch I'll go back and try to change it for a new batch. Thanks.
The 126's I have tested have been horrible.
I only tested on 125 and it was fairly decent... I got 4.2ghz out of it at i think around 1.3875v
So its probably OK to keep and OC then. The microcenter I got it from said they all got their 930s all in one batch, not sure if there is going to be any variation in the 125s. I have 14 days in order to return the processor so might hold out. However my new comp parts come in on Monday so might not be able to resist. hehe
If the 125s are decent then I'll be happy with if it can do 4.2 on air.
Does anyone have a 930 batch #3951A824? Just wondering if it is a good one. I just got one and on the stock cooler got 4GHz stable at 1.28. HT off. Can't want until next week to get the rest of my parts so I can get my water back in this thing. Anyways, if anyone has any tips on O.Cing i7s that would be great (this is my first intel CPU). Voltages would be nice. Thanks!
Yep unfortunately 'good' 930s are few and far between. They simply need more vCore for the clocks which translates into more heat...
But most of them seem good enough for the usual 4Ghz-4.2Ghz 24/7 clocks. Just need some good cooling
any one here tested or know any information for overclocking about this batch 3003A965
because i want to buy one and all in store have this batch
any help please.....
I got my i7 930 running @ 4209MHz with 1.34v
