I am so Sorry shazza.. i think i caused it when someone said it would be cool if a mobo company did under board wiring.
my appologizes....
@ Shazza
Great looking build, I had a big part in the derailing of the thread,
So sorry, looking forward to more pretty pics :)
I'll throw in my apologies as well. :)
Hey guys ... no apologies necessary. I caught the first part of the discussion and was interested in it ... than I dozed off for my afternoon nap and missed any ensuing drama ;)
As you know, I'm apt to take my own threads off topic, so all's good with me. Still working on sleeving.
Shaz are you using MurderMod kits? I do not even know what they are. Just matching sleeving and heatshrink?
Yep ... it's just a nicer sleeving than I've found elsewhere - a tight weave, so nothing shows through. The kits come with matching heatshrink, and are setup with enough sleeving to do PSU cables, sata cables, fans, etc.
So far, black is the only color on the website, but Kirk (BlueAqua) had some blue and red, not sure if he still does). Hopefully they'll be getting more colors in soon.
They're at murderMod.com
Shaz I am trying to find UV blue 8 Pin PCI-E or 6+2. Maybe also in other colors. PPC does not have them. Can you keep and eye out?
Shazza, just don't make me point the :hammer: in your direction. ;)
Thanks, gillbot - we all have to keep an eye on the TROUBLEMAKER ;)
I have looked all over ... can't find the 8 pin PCI-E in UV blue. Best I can come up with is a 6 pin + 2 - either paint a black one or try cutting the 4 in half. I've tried the painting ... a little iffy.
No worries ... not posting any pics cause I have nothing pic-worthy, but have been slaving away :)
Definitely like the 24pin tucked under the board, looks great.
very nice! I like the sleeving going under the board. I never got a chance to do sleeving on my waterbox build. It looks much better with the sleeving imo!
Thanks, Liderc - still have to try to arrange it a bit, but it should work ok.
Yep -- didn't do much yesterday, but finished the PCI-E cables today - happy to report only 1 bandaid required after that.
Thanks, Jokester. I'm still not sure how it's all gonna come out...
OKay ... a few pics. Just to prove I've done something.
(1) OMG ... what a mess. Notice the clouding in the tubing - distilled water in Tygon B44. Will sort that out later.

(3) A shot of this lil' rig crunching ... I just started last week, but it hit home yesterday. We had a friend visiting who we haven't seen in a while. He's recovering from throat cancer surgery and treatment - 48 with three kids. Fortunately, his prognosis is good, but a shock to see what it's done to him.

Thanks for looking ... it keeps me motivated.
Hiya, your rig is look great!
So what do you think about PII?
sweet shazza, sweet!!!
excellent photos shazza!
Congrats on your recent WCG milestones
Oh yeah, you must come to the WCG section and introduce yourself...its a tradition. :p:
Looks great Shazza, keep up the good work
So far, I'm loving it. Took the 955BE to 3.6 with one move. Temps only went up a couple of degrees. I haven't had a chance to game on it yet, but compared to my i7 920 with temps in the 50s, I'm happy. Looking forward to some time to OC and see what it can do, but I think it will make the perfect HTPC setup. The whole setup is also very quiet ... so happy with the components so far.
Gracias, Chicken Patty.
Thanks, skinnee - now I'm anxious to setup my QX9650 and Q6600 and get them crunching too. It's addictive! We'll see how the power bill likes it with summer time in the desert.
Thanks, millertime - still lots to do.
Looking great Shazza!! We neer more pics though :yepp:
Fantastic Sharon!
