hi man nice temps! the xigmatek is good :)
so which batches are good for this proccy?
This turned out to be a nice cheap upgrade from my e4300. I am running a home-built single-stage phase change cooling rig. Evaporator temperature is running -44C under full CPU load. I have no idea what the core temp is. The CPU temp monitoring on my Abit IP35-E mobo has never worked. The temps are stuck at 11C.
UPDATE: I just killed my new E7200. All I did was move it to another room. Dont know if it was the overclock or not but it had been running peachy. Im thinking of RMA'n the proc on Monday, but I dont know how long that will take.
what do you mean you moved it to another room ? the CPU or the whole pc ? never heard of killing a CPU with transporting a PC lately... with the Athlon XP the core die was too fragile and heavy coolers could damage it... but not these Intels...
Cor blimey Rockhammer! 4.4GHz with just 1.05V!!!
That's the VID , look closely... not Vcore
I had a LAN at my house in my living room so i moved my whole pc out there so I could game in the same room with everyone else. Then I went to move it back to my desk got all my cords hooked up and no dice. Right now Im waiting on one of my so called friends let me put my proc in their rigs, but it seems when I need help no one wants to help or makes excuses. Sorry for the small rant.
Update my proc really is dead I got to test it out in another computer.
@carajean,
what was your settings before it died? man, thats bad news.
sweet info guys i was really wondering how these clocked
someone throw one of these on the biostar Tforce I45 and see how freakin insane she'll go...
I've had mine up to 4.6 GHz.

Gigabyte EP35C-DS3R....lol. Now i'm on a DFI LP UT P35-T2R with the E7200. Too hot to run anything over 3.8 GHz :(
thanks. im hoping its just an isolated case to die on such a low vcore.
CPU VTT and PLL Carajean ? Cooler used ?
Im really attributing this fry to a fluke of nature more than overclocking. I really didnt raise those voltages too much to me anyways.
I need a better cooler this time around. Prefer one without push pins technology. Please suggest thanks
Xigmatek HDT-S1283 (or OCZ Vendetta 2) with a bolt-thru kit.
Reporting on my experience with E7200,
E7200 @ 3.6 Ghz, 1.3v set in BIOS (actual ~1.27v in CPU-Z)
Asus P5k Deluxe Wifi-AP
G.Skill 2x2GB DDR2-1000
from some feedback i saw on some other forums, some users said the bolt-thru kit cant be used on the OCZ V2, unless you want to bend the fins...!
I have a Q808A696 batch and it runs 4Ghz at 1.3v stable and benches up to 4.5Ghz with 1.5v
