Just ordered one of these for my new build. I figure it can't perform any worse than the V1 so might as well take the risk of it performing better.

Im getting mine in a couple of week. Replacing my existing Apogee GT block so Im hoping for a big performace boost!
Just got mine. Is anyone using those new Fat Boy Barbs on one? Any issues?
Somebody tested the quadcore plate ?

A slightly more noob-ish review than martins, but still, an aswesome block.
Got mine ordered from Petratechshop.com and should be here the 20th!!! Yippie!!! I can finally ditch my Aquacomputer Cuplex XT
Ugh, as of the past week and a half, the weather has been going crazy...
80f -100 degree's throughout the week and I cannot do testing like this.
I'm going to have to wait a bit, maybe do it at night time when the weather is mellow.
But with the ambient changing and all, it's impossible to do block comparisons.
Anybody using/tried the Universal mount with the V2??
Don't really want to take my 'board out of the case again at the moment.
Can you bow the V2?
i dont want to dig through 10 pages of this thread, but this block comes with mounting plate, back plate, and the pro mount springs right? i just need to make sure before i buy it
Using a good straight edge, I found the block stock when completely tightened down already has a very slight bow. I put a bigger diameter o-ring from an EK barb which bowed it a little more, but I didn't seen any noteworthy gain doing that on a lapped processor, but it may be helpful on a stock IHS.
The bigger EK o-ring is a bit tricky to install. Thicker o-rings won't really stay put (I tried that first), but the same thickness o-ring that's very very slightly larger in ID/OD like the EK o-ring will squeeze into the slot and stay put for the midplate installation.
for a lapped cpu, is it better leave the v2 stock ( not bowed)?
with the Quick-Mount Set (sold separately right?), would it still attach to the back plate that is included? if it does, this still requires the removal of the mobo since the back plate is behind the mobo and there is no way to attach it without holding on it while installation right? and if it doesn't go on the backplate, then that means it would bow the mobo?
There is some sticky adhesive tape on the back of the backplate, it'll stick no problem.
The quick-mount kit sucks, don't buy it. ;)
And no it will not attach to the backplate as you can't with quick-mounts.
You won't bend the mobo if you don't tighten the screws in to much.
