But still, I think Feser's done a good job with there new rads and bracelets (er, shrouds. :D)
The only thing that keeps me from buying any of there stuff is the prices...... I mean geeze, I could get 3 MCR320's for the price of one feser triple rad.....

I was thinking that some silver Aerocool Turbines would look phenomenal on a feser rad/shroud setup. It'd look awesome stock in a push config and, since the turbine's nose cone is removable, it could be glued/taped onto the other (non-rotatiting middle) side so you'd get the good visual in a pull config too. (Though the turbines only come with blue LED.)

edit: they make a 37.4cfm/ 19.6db turbine too. though i guess especially with rads there's more to it than just those 2 variables.
Most people own the ThermoChill PA120.2. While it's generally accepted that the Thermochill PA series radiators and similar models are the best performing rads for moderate to low CFM, they are simply way too bulky for my application.
My goal is to attach a pair of dual fan rads to the side fan door on the Stacker 830. With a motherboard and expansion cards installed, this only allows about 30mm of space between the fans and the top of any expansion cards. Thus my radiator choice is somewhat limited. Fortunately, Hardware Labs makes the perfect rad for my situation... the Black Ice GT Stealth 240... I'd like to see different designs.
I'd like to see a slimmer looking rad. Then adding a shroud might not make it look so bulky. If this rad doesn't even compare to the PA series, why bother? They should start redesigning these rads to fit in almost every case.

I purchased a TFC Xchanger 240 and 360 for my loops. Fluid and tubing by Feser as well.
I can't be happier. Martin @ TFC is crazy funny. His focus is on quality and appearance. I'm glad they married both so well.

I'm hoping they come out with 3/8x5/8 tubing soon. DD has it on their website but selecting it shows "out of stock". I think everyone's just waiting atm. (Love that Caribbean blue.) Think they have comp. fittings for that size too. EDIT: NO got an email from feser: no 3/8x5/8
Edit: these rads are indeed pretty thick. I've only seen pics of thermochills and HL's, but it doesn't look they have the fins recessed near as much as the feser. (It's like it comes with a mini-shroud built in.) It seems they could trim maybe 1/2" off the thickness simply by making the casing more flush with the rad(fins). I imagine it's part of the engineering, so I guess it's not as simple as that.

I always remembered when people talked about shrouds it was considered a no-no to use a 120mm fan housing (fan guts ripped out) as a shroud. It would basically get the fan off the radiator by a fan thickness when stacked.
These look pretty close to that. I wonder why everyone is getting aboard this train.

I don't think there is anything wrong with that. I was going to try doing some shroud testing using old fans.
The only problem is, it would be best done with some 38mm fans and they don't come very cheap.
I was just thinking about starting back in on some good radiator testing...lots to do..:D
That might explain why the fins are so recessed. Can't find my tape measure but it looks like that'll provide at least 1/4" more clearance.
@NaeKuh: those Saxon flow straighteners are the size of a 120x25 fan and have a honeycomb middle that slides right out. They look pretty silvery nice too. (not so good if you're only lookin' for clear i guess) I think they're about $10 tho.

The TFC website must be the cheesiest ever. C'mon. Sound clips when mouse hovering? I got scared :banana::banana::banana::banana:less because I just watched a movie which had a low recording, so I cranked up the volyme. Needless to say I almost jumped out of my seat when hovering over "MAXIMUM SYSTEM COMPABILITY" (is it just me, or is it really similar to "Maximum ..." a la Crysis?).

One of my crunchers uses a fan body for my Radbox substitute. So what is so brand new and exciting about this? :shrug:
Oh and it is a semi-clear Antec fan that died and I ripped its guts out.
Wouldn't the downside to these single shrouds be that you get a gap between the fans on any rad with larger than flush fan spacing? Particularly on a TC, with its built-in shroud, you'd wind up with an alternate path for the air to travel, rather than through the fins?
The Feser UV Tubing is amazingly bright under UV though, very impressive stuff.
The feeling of it is somewhere between Masterkleer and Tygon R-3603.
No, I understand that aspect of shrouding just fine. But on a rad like the PA series, because of the built-in shrouding, the fans don't sit flush against the fins (Which helps contribute to their performance). But that, coupled with the larger gap between each fan, also creates an alternate path for the airflow. That's one of the reasons TC includes the full gasket with their rads, and why the metal shrouds you can get for them are one piece.
In other words, air can enter through the fan (in a push setup), but NOT travel through the actual fins afterwards. In fact, compared to the rad core, the alternate path is technically a lower resistance pathway. Now, you can obviously use the gasket with the spacers, but I can't see a lot of people looking to stick a slab of foam underneath their transparant spacers.
Not that it's a major issue, at most, a single-digit percentage difference. It would also be most obvious on a TC, owing to its larger fan spacing. But even the Feser rads would have about a 2mm gap between each fan. Now, if you're grabbing these in the name of bling, no worries (And they look sweet). But you're going to the trouble of shrouding your fans in the name of a little extra performance, you might care about something like that.
I'll be getting some of the shrouds to test, so I'll give them a work over on my radiator test bench. I inted to get back to my radiator testing soon. I have a few more fans I'd like to play with also..:)
Just saw this on the feser forum, re shroud depth:
