Quite a compliment, huh? :D :clap:Quote:
"Today we had a demonstration, in Paul Otellini's keynote, Of the most extreme overclocker on the planet.."
Whao -109 temp. Now that is extreme.
Congrats FUGGER... this is madness!! When does Penryn arrive again? :D
Excellent job, FUGGER!!
:toast:
this is great and all, but id be more interested in what the CPU would do on water and air.
Are there any numbers coming from that? I would think that the best CPU on air that everyone can use and abuse would be a selling point than best cpu on extreme cooling.
Congrats Fugger, Im so jealous yet so proud to see XS represent !!
Wow finally some numbers :D
Charles, you win. :D 10wrs, damn!!! Im pretty sure you have made some very very nice new friends over at Intel after such an amazing demonstration :D
Intel says, "OK, Charles will be the first person to get every time I send out samples from now on!" :D
Some statistics
4.5Ghz on stock voltage on vapo
4.5Ghz = 10s flat
5.126Ghz Pi on Vapo = 8.76s
4.950Ghz on Vapo PCMark WR (I had this one before I came to IDF)
http://service.futuremark.com/compare?pcm05=1087948
@ 5.2Ghz AM3=277k
@ 5.42Ghz AM3=294k LOD 0
@ 5.42Ghz pi = 8.406s
5.56 max frequency @ 1.7v (unmodded) P5K3
B1 stepping 3Ghz 1333FSB Yorkfield 45nm
2k6 cpu score of 8551 for image @ 5.2Ghz
2k5 cpu score of 23k @ 5.2Ghz
I ran my benches on stage at a safe speed, yet high enough to get the job done.
A bunch more benches on my HD that I cannot fire up, these are some older images.
Those scores are HUGE Charles....great work. :toast:
Can't wait till I can get my paws on one of these after Nov 12.
451FSB 1804Mhz 7-7-7-20-1T
I ran on P35, there is no problem with compatibility.
I couldnt get over 500FSB on this board, maxed at 485ish FSB (same as qx6850)
I got the ultimate Intel vs AMD story. It gets its own thread.
oh this is really good news
B1 stepping
awesome job man!
good to see p35 is strong with penny.
where you nervous on stage at all?
