 holy crap those G-skill 8GB(2GB*4) sticks must have been really expensive ???
AndreYang how did you get a e6850.???????
lol nice answer :D
8Gb looks good, thats 8 times more than I have lol :)
Nice tests Andre...
This board looks great and the results are good, too ;)
Does that RAM overclock at all?
damn active cooling SB. Hmm
Is it more difficult (or impossible) to overclock ram when you are running that much or all 4 slots?
As long as all sticks are identical there shouldn't be any issues for OCing the RAM,
Please find picture of retail box :)
Actually a nice looking package.
But I'm more concerned about what the board has to offer than I am about the box.
I hope it gets released soon.
it is harder to get a higher FSB overclock when you go beyond 2 sticks...the limitation is really going to be any one of the four sticks not cooperating...all it takes is one stick to drag the whole system, proverbially, down!...andre mentioned those sticks are bought in pairs so you know at least two should be matched up...but even that can be a problem...for example, i bought a pair of Dominators DDR1142...the original pair had one stick that would stop at around DDR1000 speed while the other went right up to DDR1142...the replacement pair worked as advertised.
Hey Andre, would you say the DFI or the Abit 680i-Board is the better Choice?
@ All
Does OCZ Flex run on the EVGA 680i?
huh they decided to do something different this time with the package... i'm really liking this new approach...very stylish ... way to DFI :toast:
um price or does anyone know yet?
