and strange,he can do easily 480fsb with e6400, and verystable, but 488fsb won't boot;)

i was split between ds3 and p5b, went ds3 because it's prettier and offers FSB above 400 in the bios menu. I had a really good experience with the gigabyte K8N too.

Damn i hope i can get like 450 FSB on a E6600!

ill be happy then!

Also can someone explain how on CPU-Z its saying his ram is running 1:1 surely running at 480FSB at 1:1 is impossible?

you guys starting to see why i :banana::banana::banana::banana::banana: about board makers putting out motherboards before the pcu's and other stuff are even released.

they arent testing these motherboards... no way they cant be..

they need to be doing testing and R&D up until the very last minute ..

one baord works.. one is doa.. another is dieing.. another works..

its just a big connect the dots here,, its like a maze trying to find your way to a good product its a joke..

yes, this mobo don't need any vmod, can you ask him if he had increased Vfsb or Vmch because it was useless here.

I think this mobo can do a lot more, it seems it has a huge margin because chipset was extremely hot for 487FSB , no gain with a fan on it :eek:

Probably FSB limited by the Cpu.

edit: not sure about this board's temperature: i ran dual prime 2004for 7hours , and it was only 60c ...

Sounds good, how was the board when you were setting up? Any troubles? And finally is it rock stable? Sorry for all the questions, but I just wanna make sure I get a good board.

no,mine is ES,DQ6 retail will sell tomorrow
, and my friends' ds3 r both of retails ,they bought last week.;)

yeah its +.6v so 2.4v max for vdimm

and umm dont get Patriot PC7200.. i had to go back to frys n return that for Corsair 8000UL. Aslo i have HSPC tech station, so setting up was really easy. The board is small though

1.DS3 doesn't have daul-vga
2.If C-2 Step of 965 coming , with mem-access improvemnet,maybe it's will faster than 975,but, i can see,the memory control is not good enough as 975chip for now,but..maybe a bios will improve that.;)

Then again, I'm a 2D guy and if I buy a expensive GFX I won't buy another for sure hehe.
Sounds like you know something about 965 chipset that we don't :P
Do you know if there is a C-2 Step coming or if there will be a bios that will improve memory handling?
