ps : even if it's a 1gb kit it must be the same for 2gb one , even if you should go a little bit higher

today i received new fresh G.Skill F2-6400PHU2-2GBHZ.
S/N: 633....
Hi Guys, I have the G.Skill HZ and can only go to DDR860 because of other system limiations. At this speed how tight do you think i can make my timings?
i got a verry strange problem with my new Gskill...
in dual chanel i can't go over 540Mhz screen, and 533-534Mhz PI 1M, but in single mode here are the result :slobber:

PS : that's Kit Extreme2 2 x 512 Mo PC6400 HZ
nice!! i think that may be the fastest HZ's i have seen yet.
There is someone else who tried 3.3v and now they are gone:D so maybe push it a little farther, maybe like 3.2v:rolleyes:
OMG
ur just about to fry ur sticks.. LOL
DDR1200 CL 4-4-3-1 nice Job
over 3.01v no gain :slap:Quote:

dam 3.11v your crazy bugger... nice :)
This will make bachus happy... finally applying some more vdimm >2.2v with P5W DH :)
System:
- Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 QPGE B1 Step 5
- Swiftech G4 Storm water cooled cpu
- Asus P5W DH Deluxe 0801 bios
- 256MB BFG 7800GTX 84.66 SLI drivers
- 2x1GB Gskill PC6400PHU2 2GBHZ Micron D9 (cooled by Sunon 92x38mm 120cfm fan on rheobus medium speed)
- 74GB WD Raptor 8MB cache
- FDD
- 700W OCZ GameXStream Psu
Super Pi v1.5 - single and dual tests:
vcore = 1.35v
vdimm = 2.20v (AI Booster reports 2.3v)
fsb = 1.3v
mch = 1.65
ich = AUTO
Super Pi @9x333fsb = 3001Mhz 2:3 500mhz 4-4-4-12 at 2.2v
32M Single = 16min 21.859s
32M Dual = 17min 42.062s / 17min 39.641s
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
vcore = 1.35v
vdimm = 2.30v (AI Booster reports 0.00v heh)
fsb = 1.3v
mch = 1.65
ich = AUTO
Super Pi @9x342fsb = 3082Mhz 2:3 513mhz 4-4-4-12 at 2.3v
32M Single = 15min 55.500s
32M Dual = 17min 14.547s / 17min 12.328s
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Bump memory voltage to 2.35v vdimm in bios, and managed to get memory to 525mhz 4-4-4-12 at 2.35v.
vcore = 1.35v
vdimm = 2.35v (AI Booster reports 6.54v LOL buggy heh)
fsb = 1.3v
mch = 1.65
ich = AUTO
Super Pi @9x350fsb = 3154Mhz 2:3 525mhz 4-4-4-12 at 2.35v
32M Single = 15min 30.609s
32M Dual = 16min 51.375s / 16min 48.594s
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Bump memory voltage to 2.4v vdimm in bios, and managed to get memory to 533mhz 4-4-4-12 at 2.4v.
vcore = 1.35v
vdimm = 2.4v (AI Booster reports 0.01v)
fsb = 1.3v
mch = 1.65
ich = AUTO
Super Pi @9x355fsb = 3200Mhz 2:3 533mhz 4-4-4-12 at 2.4v
32M Single = 15min 20.453s
32M Dual = 16min 36.657s / 16min 33.500s
So looks like for Super Pi v1.50 32M at least I've managed to get 2x1GB Gskill PC6400PHU2 2GBHZ Micron D9GMH to 533mhz 4-4-4-12 at 2.4v.

Damn, at last George :up: :lol: Is that your best pair? Have you played more with the other two?
EDIT: BTW, a buddy of mine from Europe asked me to get him a pair of that 2GBHZ, since it's not easy to buy where he lives. So, I got one from Newegg and it arrived on Monday. It's "632" (2006, week 32). Unfortunately, I had to ship it out yesterday, so did not have a lot of time to play around (about 6hrs) but got a bit of an idea. This seemed to be a tad weaker than my pair and the other one I showed in this thread earlier (that I bought from another person).
http://www.clockmehigh.com/cooler/sc..._3rd/front.jpg
It did SPi32M @ DDR2-1000 8-4-4-4.0 but needed 2.4v for it.
Then it apeared to max out SPi32M @ DDR2-1032 8-4-4-4.0 with 2.5v.
I stopped testing it further from the lack of time and sake for my buddy, not being comfortable with higher voltage testing :)
... just for those that wanted to get the idea what can be expected... Some pairs are stronger and some are weaker, naturally. Such is OCer's life :lol:
hehe yes at last :DQuote:

@Bachus - Look at SPD showing by CPU-Z for two diffrent pair of 2GBHZ. Yours sticks ( s/n 0605...) are PHU2-2GBHZ 400 4-4-4-12, but latest pair that you tested are ( s/n 0632... ) PHU1-1GBHZ 400 5-5-5-15...... Does it CPU-Z error or great mistake made by GSkill? Maybe a pair of 2GBNR memories is packaged into the heatspreader of 2GBHZ model. Very strange....Quote:

When you take a closer look at SPD tab on most of the latest 2GB kits from G.Skill, then you'll notice it bacame somewhat common. Just look at 3 pairs of 2GBHZ that eva2000 (above my post) has. They show the same SPD info as 2 of the sets I recently bought. Apart from a new naming rule that they have in place, I have seen here 2x1GB sets with individual sticks' SPD info of 1GBHZ, 1GBPK, 1GBNR, 1GBGA. They were all 2x1GB sets. There is something that comes to mind but perhaps G.S.T wants to clarify it, if neccesary...Quote:

Oh, this... I kind of thought he was asking why PHU1-1GBxx, instead of PHU2-2GBxx... nvm, I need coffee :lol:
same thing.... lab claim it is easy for them to do the SPD burn so they can burn all at once.....Quote:

it is like 10:1 i think lol
however, those SPD doesn't really mater for any OC.... we all know we can set it up at bios :)
doesn't matter what SPD is, GSKILL Memory is still one of the best.
hmmmm
i've just ordered G.Kill 2gb HZ at israel...
hmmm whats the min serial number for D9GMH ? 0605 ? and if i have the new serial like 629 ?
thanks
