Is it possible to kill cpu/mobo if I connect wrong pins? I know you will say anything can kill it but still. I mean anyone seen dead cpus/mobos from this?

I talked to oc-wear.de today, the guy told me, that the status ist, that boards are shipped to them. But he doens´t know, how much they get.

They ordered at least 50 boards, 24 are preordered.

i think qhjj is older than qkhk, and have some problem,stock at some fsb, even i using systool ,adjust mulitiper at 11, fsb stock the same with 12.

QHJJ is really old, week 30 of 2005

QKHK is only sorta old... week 42 of 2005 lol

I have a 602 T2300 also that i will be tested, but im guessing that is going to be very FSB limited.

- first the boards
- then conroe came by
- then the colboot/bug
- and now we have a stepping problem

nice results.....but too bad its overshadowed by Conroe....too bad by the time Yonah actually hit retails shores fully, conroe will have debuted and yonah would be left for dead....until Merom debuts dat is...so far not much infos on Merom...

Absolutely :D You just need to unscrew your laptop to actually get to the socket :)
Besides you can not only change fsb but also vcore. That was with dothan though, still unknown for yonah but it should work the same way. BTW, hardware vcore pin mod also works for amd s754/939 cpus so I guess there is one idea for many cpus.

Well I'm thinking of trying it out on a mac mini, heh. I'll probably wait and see if someone else gets it working with yonah on a laptop first, but it'll still be interesting to see. Thanks for responding:)

Great. If the Asus is anything like the one's out today it should be very oc friendly, but mods will still be required for more voltage options.

yes Marc it said to me has been a few times that there was not possible change it bios to change the fsb (clock gen and set fsb don't go with the last version that I had to ask to him to test)

A bios should be awaited now gigabyte :rolleyes:

Nothing Of any way, it is necessary to await update bios of the majority of the manufacturers for finally seeing the possibilities of each chipset :rolleyes:

trend*pc give a date of April 13 for the aopen i975x-ydg considering the significant number of pre-orders which they had :cool:

Just as possible as it was on PM mobos and laptops I guess. But a lot of people have done it right in those laptops and are quite happy.

Guys, you'd better do some reading first.You need a chipset that have FSB speeds higher than 667 MHz to get this working. I was talking about the Aopen 975, it's chipset is made for speeds up to 266 MHz.

You are using mobile and MOD 945 chipsets respectively, and their official max speed is 667 MHz. However, since no one have tried a pin mod AFAIK we don't know for sure. There's a chance that the higher 200 and/or 266 MHz settings are there, it's just that Intel haven't told us just because they want to sell more. But I still highly doubt it, especially 266 MHz on a 945 is just wishful thinking. 200 MHz could be there just for Merom I guess. But it's worth a try...:D

still not in their system. They are definitely not going to be the first in the USA with them... bummer.

Can someone get me a SKU off their AOPEN box? That would make it a lot easier
