good luck m8 :)
Just an update for you guys. Going strong, though not prime strong at 2.55 on my caazc. Running 255x10 on 9/10 divider. Does 32M PiMod loops of fract bench, CS:s Stress test and 3d01. No random errors, gonna try some long hours of CS tonight...maybe get up to 6?

What kind of cooling? Evaptemp?
With my SD @ 1.5 I get -26c with -44c on evap.
Did you remove HS, -50c on evap, or is your MBM (or mine) off?
The ClawCastles are very hot, just like the FX55s. Strange to see such low core temp.
the secret is this prommy....
made by |Ricky|....
temps... -27 in the proc and -47 evap...
very nice..

1.7v SSOI vs. 1.5v 90nm DSL .. BIG difference there.
Whats is your evap temp load? And where and what do you use to measure evap temp?
Insane OC on that 3500+ :DQuote:

Never tried more than 1.8v on mine. Diddn´t think it would do any good.
Well... my stupidity/lazyness is the only one to blame. Need to do a rerun now. Best time I had was 26sec @ 3250Mhz .. If i can get close to 3350 I might improve my score.
load temps in msi neo 2....
http://img135.echo.cx/img135/4117/20011ox.th.jpg
to read the evap temps i use this..
http://img204.echo.cx/img204/1246/img00124cf.th.jpg
its near the evap...
edit: this prommy is very good in load... dont lose to much temp..
|Ricky| made it whit that purpouse.

Tuning a cooler for high heatload is no problem.. hit the appr right cap length, and overcharge it. Its perfect for high heatload, but when idle you get liquid returning to the compressor, and thats not good.
I charge according to heatload. If I up the vcore 0.1-0.15v I add more gass to make it hold the temp better.
Even with a perfectly tuned MachII -47c is near impossible (if not impossible) with the heatload of a 130nm SSOI chip @ 1.7+vcore.
Im a n00b when it comes to phase change, but a NL11F holding -47c with that chip @ 1.7+vcore sounds hard. Very hard.
Sure Rickey has xtreme skills with phase change.. but still the compressor has got limitations.
-26c core temp on a SSOI Claw sounds impossible with that cooler and vcore.
Im guessing the MSI is off. I have had several neo2´s my self, and none of them reported similar core temps. Generally MSI sucks at measuring temps.
But then again.. im AM total n00b when it comes to phase change :)
what is a safe voltage for me to run through my chip on box cooler and paste? and is CPU Z what i should go by or bios? im at 1.536 in CPUZ
in air i use 1.60v and AS ceramique...

soon i will have a new termometer...
now i have a dfi.. but you will have a surprise :D
hug'z.
ps, i'm more noob'er then you :D ..
benches sonn
yea pretty sure 1.6 is ok. As long as temps are ok.
i have a CAA2C 0506 BPMW it ocs great(235*11 at stock vcore) but i am having trouble with the memory controller i am using geil ultrax based on BH-5 chips and i cant seem to get it to oc the mem sweet f all
has anyone else had experiance with this cpu and ocing the memory
glad to see you..vim aprender um bocado.Quote:

yeah....click on the DDR600 in my signature. ;)Quote:

an Epox u recon which one is best 9NDA3+ or 9NPA+
I'm using a 9NDA3+ and real happy with it, my Clawhammer and BH-5. Running it 24/7, somewhere a bit above 2800 mHz and at 255 or so ( on a different machine, in a different room right now ). Using a bit over 3.4 V.
Modded, this board is a screamer.
edit - Best? I don't know. As far as A64 Epox(s), I only have experience with mine. But I'm real happy with it.
It actually runs a DC project I run, D2OL, stronger than my DFI Ultra D/ Venice 3800+, which clocks a little higher overall.
does it fit a xp-120, 2*512 plus a ocz ddr booster
i read somewhere the xp-120 blocks memslot 1
Umm, not sure. I am using a XP-90C.Quote:

Ahh, just went to Thermalright's site, and that is what it says in the Compatibility List. "Cannot use DIMM 1".
Hey MadDog, what version bios are you using on your Neo2 board?Quote:

Thanks MadDog!
I can't wait to try the Clawhammer. It is a CAA2C 0507GPMW.
07 its a god week, but the neo2 and is 1.84 of vcore... its to low to this caa2c's...
Well, I will be happy with 2.6 - 2.7 GHZ.
Hey guys, After reading through this article i went home and ripped my HSF of and took a look, its a Ada3500dep4as Caa2c 0506fpmw. Now my problem is i caint get this thing to clock at all. Dont know why?
My system setup is a DFI NF4-SLI-DR board and kingston HyperX PC3500 Ram.
Anyone can help for a overclock on this machine?
Well give us an idea of where you're at. The key here is cooling and Voltage. These get hot and love Volts. I'm on 2.55 on stock air and 1.504V. But when I use my Chilled air :) I got her up to like 2.63 still on 1.5 V
Its running stock timing and voltages at the moment, when i add the volts to 1.5 and run the mem at 3.0 and bump the fsb to 220 with a htt ratio of 4x it doesnt post. i caint even get into mem test.
Give us full system specs. Do you have all the power connectors plugged in?
I got one of these CAA2C (AS) chips a couple days ago, it does 2.7ghz on stock volts, im running at 2.6ghz now.
Temps are very high using Thermaltake Silent Boost HSF (67c load).
Im quite sure this chip has a crap mem controller though, 250 @ 1T wont work no matter what i try. 2T is fine though.
yea I can't run 2-2-2-10 under any conditions 1T. SO I Run 2-3-2-X and run a divider. But I was able to get some 3dmark runs in at over 2.6 GHZQuote:

Ive got a tad over 2.7ghz @ 1.55v but i wasnt loving the temps (im using low RPM air) so im going to keep that for benching only and stay @ stock volts for everyday usage since im getting decent OC on it anyway.
I knocked my HT mult down to 4x just until i sort out my max @ stock volts. Im guessing as long as the HT speed is above 800 its not going to affect performance ? Can somebody tell me how high can you set the HT speed until probs start showing ?
With all the new BIOS that came out since 310, what would be the best BIOS to use with my setup? 3500+ ClawHammer, OCZ platinum EL rev2, DFI nF4 SLI-DR.
Thanks :D
I know, I know, I should try them all!! but still, help me out here. :p:
Ever since 310 my 3500+ CH is doing worst. I mean i lost my 310 bios o/c of 2600mhz, even if i go back to 310 its still not the same. I suspect it maybe the mem controller but i just got a 3200 venice to play with and im getting a FX55 sandy next week. Of all bios after 310, 510-3fix got me good results.Quote:

btw mine is running all stock for now but auto voltage is running 1.3v's. don't ask me why but i'm not argueing with no instability so far.
Well I've been using mine for 6 months now with no problems running this chip with an XP-90 in all games and OS stable 2540 with stock volts. My temp issue turned out to be the bios is screwed up. I got that fixed and with an extra thermistor at the end of the processor connected to a fan controller I'm getting a reading of 39c idle and 51c full load OC'd. Anything higher than 2550 or so up to 2630 requires more voltage which I don't think is worth scortching a a nice cip. Man bandwidth is crazy on everest with this chiped overclocked with my value ram:
6180 Read
2210 Write
49 latency
I have yet to see what this will overclock stable to during the cold winter months of Dec and Jan.
recent Futurmark scored 1163 on cpu.

Welcome to XS. I hate my claw. won't do 2-2-2-X under any freaking circumstance
These must have been FX-55's that failed somehow.
Thanks for the welcome. I had a Winchester 3000+ and never could get it to do 2-2-2-X. 2-3-3-X was the best I could get the memory controller to do and could never get it passed 220 1:1. I thought it was the RAM or the MOBO and was actually pretty ticked off. It was also one of the Winnies that had tremendous problems passing prime. I honestly think the chip was bad from the get go.Quote:

I get better game performance with the higher mem bandwidth @ 250, and it seems that either the RAM or the mem controller starts to flake out around 255 1:1. Got another with the exact same stepping as mine for my brother with almost the exact same results.
I've wondered that myself. Could be as simple as a bad cache bank that just needed disabling.Quote:

Well I may be a bit late to this thread. But these chips rock.
Hy there!
I'm getting my CPU traded by a 350+ CAA2C, but i'm not shure if its a good deal!
My chip is a 3000+ venice and did this screenie http://valid.x86-secret.com/cache/60768.png with 1.8vcore. And after i manage to get 3056mhz
And can do 2.8ghz with only 1.58vcore.
But, i want to trade it with a CAA2C, but i'm afraid that it doesn't do the same results has my 3000+.
its this one:
ADA3500DEP4AS
CAA2C 0505APMW
1213644B50185
Can someone help me eith this dilema ?
Post some results with theese chips please :confused2

Yea, we figured they were failed FX's when we all sprung for them. I got a Z instead of a 2 :(. We'll see how far I can go with my new Freezer Pro coming soon, maybe I'll get to 2.7@2-3-3-8...I've found that 2-2-2-8 isnt too much of an improvement

Yo nice post guys, i just bought a gateway gt4010 and it has a claw hammer 3500+ with these spec on the chip
