im not american bashing!! LoL im just saying the sheer volume of sugar in food, the other guy who agreed is american himself. carbs are sugars, soluable and insoluable fibre. its the sugar thats the problem. thing is everything tastes better with sugar in it. i dont avoid it, i just watch its intake. infact i could wolf down a whole bag of peanut butter m&m's right now! britain is following america with obesity at the moment. food manufacturer's are just chucking it in food, starting off with kids meals. how great are corporations?
back on topic ...
@ the other guy who did not like my comments that i dont agree with his views on his car, tough! i think its ugly. i did say i didnt want to offend but it was taken to heart for some reason?!?! its my opinion. like it or lump it.
the wrx was a jap import made infamous after colin mcrae and richard burns' triumphs in the WRC. it has a massive following. spend some time in google, that and the mitsubishi evo are herald as 2 of the greatest cars out there. and there are very very few cars that can handle like them. fact! and i dont care if you think otherwise or laugh at comments of reliability. i've seen and experienced first hand otherwise. my friends dad has a passat with well over 300,000 miles on the clock and it sounds no different to mine when ticking over and mine has less than a third of the mileage. he'd has it 6 years and its never needed any serious work.
truth is all the best stuff tends to come from japan or germany, and thats not just cars.
im a little patriotic but im also realistic. i wont claim british cars are great because im british. british cars are well, rubbish! with the exception of bentley, rolls royce and aston martin, but then again they are so expensive you'd expect the quality and power
@ the guy above
I dont give a crap about your opinions and you about mine, back on topic
washing a car has nothing to do with treating a car well. washing it effects the mechanics in no way, unless you spray water into the tranny and get your clutch/bearings wet, or on your motor, which could cause water to get in your motor, foul your sparkplugs, etc.
that's what warranties are for, and if you buy used, theres a reason most ppl go out and test drive, look through the car througholy, and have it checked out by a mechanic, and make sure the oil is good(if it's not good when you check it out the first time, it probably has been neglected).
my integra, i think the rear hatch latch worked for about a week, then it never worked again, always had to use my key to open the latch cuz the lever never worked. same with my friends 2 or 3 integras he had.
the rear latch you can fix in 20 mins by yourself with a phillips screw driver probably, if not an 11mm socket.
and the rear door hook you mentioned, if it's the one im thinking about, again, 11mm socket tighten it in, and if it's stripped, whip out the jb weld.
it has a 3 valve 4.6 engine and its a coupe... Guess
I love my stock seats... there comfy and leathery
If I ever switch seats, I would get this

or

In leather of coarse
trust me, they are nice for a while, then they are a PITA, and they are a PITA up front too since you have to find someone to make a bracket for you.
and after a while, having to turn the knob on the side in order to recline the back to the right position gets annoying.
oooh nvm they actually sell brackets, corbeau has earned my respect
I wonder why they keep breaking, you sound extremely intelligent!
Toyota Camry right? I heard about those issues.
FWIW, my family has only owned one foreign car, that was my Dad's 1985ish (I think?) RX-7, and that was long before I was born. That was bought brand new, so idk. All of our cars have been American (80% Ford, 20% GM) and the only "lemon's" we had were my Mom's brand new 1991 Grand Prix SE, tranny died after a year, sold it and got a new 1993 Taurus.. and our '96 Taurus was a pretty big piece, we bought that used with some pretty high miles in 1999. Only thing that ever happened with that was the Check Engine Light came on twice due to "carbon buildup" in the engine.
Right now we've got a 2002 Explorer XLT V6 (Dad's), get's 22MPG highway with 6 people in it and 8 days worth of luggage for us all (fun trip to South Carolina, haha, 3 rows of seats ftw). Bought it in 2004 with 32k miles on it, now has 55k. Keeps my Mom safe on the way to work in the bad upstate NY winters, runs great, never had ONE issue. My Mom's car, 2003 Grand Am SE V6. Again, runs great. Gets around 24MPG average (city/hwy combined) and we've also never had any problems with it. Drives good in the winter, etc. You can tell GM is lower quality though, definitely. The thing hates starting in the cold and the heat/AC don't work the greatest. Bought it in 2003 with 13k miles on it, now has 35k. Some of the interior pieces feel extremely cheap as well. Regardless, they've been both very reliable cars and well, I don't think US auto makers are worse than foreign's. I think they just got a bad rep for one or two bad cars they've made recently.
I rarely, if at all, recline my seat, everyone get in and out through the passenger side, I would only put in those seats if I make my car a circuit only car... in other words, if I remove the rear seats also.
My Toyota had 140K miles, got it with 130K and the only thing I broke was a air vent. I guess I have to be stupid for the trunck lock to break from pressing the beepers trunk opening button, or for the rear defroster do stop working
dealership, AKA stealership, lol
99% of dealerships are stealerships, whether they are foreign or not, cept BMW dealerships.... god i love american cars, but seriously, BMW knows how to do a warranty.
GM fixes all the issues on my dad's tahoe, they replaced the entire suspension because there was a little squeak lol.
had to replace 2 doors cuz i guess they ran out of part of the paint mix and it was a little lighter than the rest of the car.(i couldn't tell for the life of me)
never had a GM, only american cars we've had are Fords... Toyotas have been the best for us.
all warranty work requires a bit of :banana::banana::banana::banana:ing to the dealership, it will get done, but it gets done sooner when you know how to talk to people.
I've been as patient as possible, hell, when they returned my car 5 days later with nothing fixed, they told me the rear defroster worked... Instatly I asked how it was tested, and said 2 of the lines work... 2 seconds later, the lady calls the tech and ask how he conducted the test... she got a you :banana::banana::banana:ing dumbass face on when she listened to the tech... lol... they took pics of my rear windshield and tried to get me a replacement window, but they coulnd't get it aporve for a reason... they say there gonna use a repair kit, but so far "we've tried to get it, but we can't find any". BS I say...
people have told me to call ford HQ. I'm giving them till wednesday, since they told me to call, and I have to go to the dealership for the trunk lock anyways.
ford hq is nice lol, they took care of my friends air bag system, although they denied any compensation for the original failure
I have a dead 1994 Suzuki Sidekick. What we know at the moment, is that the cylinder head is definitely damaged and a possibility of a warped or cracked engine block. So we get to tear it apart sometime soon.
Ha, if we have to replace the entire engine, I'm gonna try to get a small block Chevy V8 (if it'll fit). If not, a Subaru boxer 4.
lol LS1 or LS7 that thing hahaha
In truth, though.. unless the GXP offers more than just horsepower, I'll be perfectly happy with a GT.
I wanna see leather dash, two tone inserts other than just the seats, fully electronic seats.... And an 8 Speed... but I'd settle for 7. :p Maybe some light tinting, and a few bells and whistles.. :p
Right, that would probably shoot down the idea of it being a lower cost competitor to a Bimmer. It'd be the same price then... LOL
Although the word on the streets is that GM is developing a 7 and/or 8 speed transmission for mass production. ^_^
7 Speeds and 8 Speeds have been around for a long time. Including it in production cars is the new part.
It is likely that the Corvette, and like cars will get it, along with other high-po oriented cars.
It is irrelevant as to who already uses it.

Now I wanna see a G8 commercial like that.
... it's a rebadged, rehooded gto!
The first video is obviously old. The second one is a new one. The other one was the last version, pretty much, which the GTO was the Manaro 2 door.

shigs
Is that an S5 or a new TT (and is that your Aston?)?
And IDK if I like the new Camaro :/
until the engine specs are officially confirmed i have no idea what route i will be taking...
i'm still in a 1000 minds about colour combinations! originally i wanted it exactly like the transformers movie (bumblebee) but i can see myself waking up one morning and becoming bored of the colour combo... so i may just go with all black inc the alloys :)
should have an ls2 in it, or maybe a non s/c ls3
gonna be a LS2.
When is the Camaro going to be available?
Just curious, since I am planning my budget to afford a G8 when it comes out. If financially possible, I'm getting a G8 very soon. ^_^ I love my G6 Coupe, but it was never destined to live long with the G8 comin around hehe.
Here's one of my vehicles.

Coming soon:
ATLP Quad exhaust, e-shift pro cats, UR Pulley, and the rest is exterior ;).
quad exhaust? or dual exhaust with twin tips? cuz, technically you cant engineer a decent quad exhaust system on a 6 cylinder?
also with your underdrive pully, make sure to get a really durable accessory belt, hondas have a tendacy to snap them like crazy with the pulley.
Quad tips* thanks for the correction.
The vender I'm purchasing the underdrive pulley from is including a belt heh.
I've been having second thoughts on upgrading my TL. I've been trying to see if anybody would like to do a straight trade, 2004 TL w/ Navi for a 01 - 03 S2000 with fewer miles on it.
240hp, 6spd, RWD sounds fun ;).
lol, trade it for an 03-04 cobra
Terminators are my favorite newer Mustang. Gotta love the sound of the supercharger screaming under the hood.
Nsx
Not realy.
http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/d...r/Golf_R32.jpg
I agree, the NSX is nice, but they want too much for it.
I take it you have not driven the 3.2 MK2 TT, the additonal weight totally spoils the handling and with only a extra 50hp on tap and all that extra weight its not any faster.
Drive them both back to back and im sure you would agree... the 3.2 however does sound GREAT!
r32 is a sick car.... I take it you havent driven it
Well... I guess I am a little old sk00l compared to most of the rides in here hahaha... but, then again... I am also old myself, so it's all good
This is my summer ride:
http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c7...k/IMG_0172.jpg
http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c7...k/IMG_0171.jpg
It's an '89 1 ton (3500) Chev dually, that has been lowered, is on bags all the way around (no leafs or coils), nicely done up 350CID with a 700R4 tranny that has a 2600 stall convertor in it and it pushes a posi rearend with 4.11 gearing.
it's a fun ride and pulls around my summer toys with ease, which is what I wanted and needed.
Now, this unfortunately is a kind of crappy picture, but this is one of the toys it pulls:
http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c7...at/717e_20.jpg
a 1986 Carlson-Glastron CV23 23' jet boat. It has a 428 Super CobraJet Big Block Ford in it that was dyno'd at 575 horse and a berkley jet pump... it easily does 70+ MPH and sounds just like a dragster
I will take some nice pics and vids come the summer time when I get it back out on the water with the few upgrades I am in the process of doing right now.
